Align your degree to specialty occupation standards
Business Analyst roles at GlobalPoint typically require a bachelor's degree in a field directly tied to the work, such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Analytics. A general business degree may not satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements, so document the technical coursework that bridges the gap.
Target GlobalPoint's technology-aligned BA openings
GlobalPoint posts Business Analyst roles tied to specific product or platform teams. Prioritize listings that reference systems analysis, SQL, or enterprise software, since those job descriptions are more likely to support a specialty occupation determination than generalist analyst postings.
Understand which visa fits your current status
GlobalPoint sponsors TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and Green Card pathways for Business Analysts. If you're on OPT with less than six months remaining, raise the timing with your recruiter early so the company can plan the filing window around your authorization expiry.
Prepare a PERM-ready employment history record
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 requires DOL to verify your work history during PERM labor certification. Gather W-2s, offer letters, and supervisor contact details before your offer stage so nothing stalls the process once GlobalPoint initiates filing.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Business Analyst roles at GlobalPoint
Filtering for employers with active sponsorship history saves significant time in a competitive market. Use Migrate Mate to browse GlobalPoint's current Business Analyst openings filtered by the visa types they support, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Clarify CPT authorization timing with your DSO before accepting
If you're using F-1 CPT for a GlobalPoint internship or co-op, your Designated School Official must authorize the specific employer and role before your start date. CPT used for 12 or more months full-time eliminates OPT eligibility, so plan your engagement length carefully.

Does GlobalPoint sponsor H-1B visas for Business Analysts?
GlobalPoint's current confirmed sponsorship pathways for Business Analysts include F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and Green Card categories such as EB-2 and EB-3. H-1B sponsorship is not listed among their active visa types for this role. If H-1B is your target pathway, clarify this directly with the recruiter during the offer stage before accepting.
How do I apply for Business Analyst jobs at GlobalPoint?
You can browse and apply for Business Analyst positions at GlobalPoint directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect systems analysis, stakeholder management, or data skills specific to GlobalPoint's technology focus, and flag your visa status clearly in your application materials.
Which visa types does GlobalPoint commonly use for Business Analyst roles?
GlobalPoint sponsors Business Analysts through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visas, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying analyst roles. F-1 OPT and CPT cover students and recent graduates. The EB-2 and EB-3 paths involve PERM labor certification and are typically initiated after a full-time offer is accepted.
What qualifications does GlobalPoint expect from Business Analyst candidates?
GlobalPoint's Business Analyst roles in the Technology and Software space generally require a bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field, such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Analytics, alongside hands-on experience with requirements gathering, data analysis, or enterprise software platforms. Roles with a systems integration or product focus may also expect familiarity with SQL, Agile methodologies, or ERP systems. Stronger technical alignment improves both your candidacy and the specialty occupation argument for visa purposes.
How do I think about timing if I am on F-1 OPT and targeting GlobalPoint?
F-1 OPT gives you up to 12 months of work authorization, with a 24-month STEM extension available if your degree qualifies. If you accept a role at GlobalPoint on OPT and the company pursues a Green Card through PERM, the DOL labor certification process alone can take six months to over a year, so starting that conversation early after your hire date is practical. The 60-day grace period after OPT expires does not include work authorization, so do not let authorization lapse before a new status is filed.
