Job Roles at Bloomberg
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Bloomberg Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles in Bloomberg's core technical divisions
Bloomberg's Green Card filings concentrate heavily in software engineering, data infrastructure, and financial technology roles. Focusing your application on these areas puts you in the strongest position for long-term sponsorship consideration.
Raise Green Card early in the offer stage
Bloomberg's recruiting teams are experienced with immigration sponsorship. Asking about Green Card support during the offer negotiation, not after joining, helps you confirm the role qualifies and sets expectations before you sign.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Bloomberg's sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, including Bloomberg's Green Card filings. Browsing Bloomberg jobs there helps you identify which roles and teams have an established sponsorship track record.
Build tenure before expecting a Green Card filing
Bloomberg typically initiates Green Card filings after an employee has demonstrated sustained performance and a long-term fit. Treating your first year as an investment in that relationship increases the likelihood sponsorship follows naturally.
Align your degree and experience with the specialty occupation standard
Green Card filings under EB-2 and EB-3 require clear alignment between your degree field and the role. For Bloomberg's technology positions, a background in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field strengthens your petition considerably.

Does Bloomberg sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Bloomberg sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories via the PERM labor certification process. Sponsorship is most common in technical roles across software engineering, data systems, and financial technology. Bloomberg is considered one of the more active Green Card sponsors in the Technology & Software industry.
Which roles and departments at Bloomberg are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Software engineers, data scientists, quantitative developers, and financial systems engineers make up the bulk of Bloomberg's Green Card filings. Roles sitting within core product and infrastructure teams tend to have the strongest sponsorship history. Less technical or business-facing roles are less consistently sponsored, so confirming sponsorship eligibility for your specific position during hiring is important.
How does the Green Card application process work at Bloomberg?
Bloomberg typically files Green Cards through the PERM labor certification process, where the company must demonstrate no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Once PERM is certified, Bloomberg files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. If your priority date is current, you can then file for adjustment of status. Bloomberg's immigration counsel manages the process, though the timeline depends heavily on your country of birth.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through Bloomberg?
The timeline varies significantly depending on your country of birth. Applicants born in countries without a backlog, such as Australia or the United Kingdom, can often complete the process within two to three years. Applicants born in India or China face considerably longer waits due to per-country annual limits. The PERM and I-140 stages alone typically take one to two years before the wait for a visa number even begins.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Bloomberg that are open to sponsored candidates?
Bloomberg does not always label job postings as Green Card eligible, which makes it harder to filter for sponsored roles from their careers page alone. Migrate Mate aggregates Bloomberg's verified Green Card sponsorship history so you can identify which roles and teams have sponsored in the past, making your search significantly more targeted. Applying to roles aligned with Bloomberg's established sponsorship patterns gives you the strongest starting point.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Bloomberg?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
