Job Roles at Broadcom
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Broadcom Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and software roles
Broadcom's Green Card sponsorship is concentrated in technical disciplines, including semiconductor engineering, software development, and systems architecture. Focusing your application on these core technology functions gives you the strongest chance of landing a sponsored position.
Understand the PERM process before you apply
Broadcom typically sponsors Green Cards through the PERM labor certification route. Knowing how PERM works, including prevailing wage requirements and recruitment obligations, helps you ask informed questions and set realistic timeline expectations during the hiring process.
Ask about sponsorship policy during the offer stage
Broadcom's HR and immigration teams handle Green Card filings on a role-by-role basis. The offer stage is the right moment to confirm sponsorship eligibility for your specific position rather than assuming it applies automatically to all technical hires.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Green Card roles
Not every job listing makes Green Card sponsorship clear upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on Broadcom openings where Green Card support is a documented part of the hiring practice.
Align your application with Broadcom's acquisition-driven growth
Broadcom has expanded significantly through acquisitions in enterprise software and semiconductor technology. Roles tied to newly integrated business units often reflect active hiring needs, which can translate into stronger Green Card sponsorship support for incoming technical talent.

Does Broadcom sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Broadcom sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees, primarily in technical and engineering roles. The company uses the PERM labor certification process to support permanent residence filings. Sponsorship is typically initiated after a period of employment and is tied to specific roles rather than offered automatically at the point of hire.
Which roles and departments at Broadcom typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Broadcom is most common in software engineering, hardware engineering, semiconductor design, and systems architecture. Roles within Broadcom's infrastructure software division also see sponsorship activity. Positions requiring specialized technical skills, where U.S. candidates are limited, are most likely to qualify for PERM-based Green Card filings.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Broadcom?
Broadcom manages Green Card filings through its internal immigration team, typically working with outside immigration counsel. The process begins with PERM labor certification, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition, and concludes with adjustment of status or consular processing. Your manager and HR contact are the right starting points for initiating a conversation about your eligibility.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Broadcom?
Total timelines depend heavily on your country of birth and the visa category used. PERM certification alone can take 12 to 18 months, and I-140 processing adds additional time. For applicants born in India or China, visa backlogs can extend the overall wait by years. Starting conversations about sponsorship early in your tenure at Broadcom is strongly advisable.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Broadcom that are open to sponsorship?
Broadcom posts roles through its careers site, but sponsorship eligibility is rarely stated explicitly in job listings. Migrate Mate tracks verified Green Card sponsors and can help you identify Broadcom openings where sponsorship has a documented history, saving you the step of filtering through roles that may not support permanent residence filings.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Broadcom?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
