Job Roles at Collabera
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Collabera Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles in Collabera's core technology practice
Green Card sponsorship at Collabera concentrates in software development, IT consulting, and systems engineering. Prioritizing these practice areas when applying gives you the strongest chance of landing a role where Green Card sponsorship is part of the employment offer.
Confirm sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Collabera places contractors with client companies, so sponsorship eligibility can depend on the specific engagement. Ask directly during negotiations whether the role includes Green Card sponsorship and confirm which entity, Collabera or the end client, files the petition.
Understand the EB-2 versus EB-3 distinction
Collabera files under both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. EB-2 generally applies to roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers most professional positions. Knowing which category your role falls under helps you set accurate timeline expectations from day one.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Green Card sponsoring roles
Collabera posts roles across multiple platforms, but not every listing indicates sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where Green Card support isn't actually on the table.
Start your PERM labor certification conversation early
The PERM process is the longest phase of the Green Card journey at most companies, including Collabera. Raise the Green Card timeline with your recruiter before accepting an offer, understanding where sponsorship starts in the employment relationship prevents costly surprises later.
Highlight specialized technical skills in your application
Collabera's Green Card filings tend to support specialized technology roles where the skill set is demonstrably specific. Clearly documenting your technical expertise, certifications, niche frameworks, domain knowledge, strengthens the specialty occupation argument required for the PERM filing.

Does Collabera sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Collabera sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees in technology and software roles. It files primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories. Sponsorship is not automatic with every offer, so candidates should confirm Green Card support directly with their recruiter before accepting a position.
Which roles at Collabera are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Collabera is most common in software engineering, IT consulting, systems architecture, and related technology disciplines. Roles that require specialized technical skills or advanced degrees tend to align with EB-2 filings, while broader professional positions typically fall under EB-3. Client-facing placement roles are less consistently sponsored.
How does the Green Card application process work at Collabera?
Collabera's Green Card process generally follows the standard employment-based pathway: PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition filed with USCIS, and finally adjustment of status or consular processing. Because Collabera is a staffing firm, the sponsoring entity and process details may vary depending on whether you're placed with a client or employed directly.
How long does the Green Card process take at Collabera?
The timeline depends on your priority date, country of birth, and the visa category your role qualifies for. PERM certification alone can take a year or more, and applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits due to per-country backlogs. You should plan for a multi-year process and maintain valid work authorization throughout. Migrate Mate can help you find roles at sponsors like Collabera where the process is already underway.
How do I improve my chances of getting Green Card sponsorship at Collabera?
Apply to roles that explicitly require a specialized degree or niche technical skills, as these map most cleanly to EB-2 and EB-3 criteria. During interviews, ask specifically about Green Card sponsorship timelines and which stage of the process the employer supports. Demonstrating long-term commitment to the role and the company's technology practice signals that sponsorship investment is worthwhile for both sides.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Collabera?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
