Job Roles at Datadog
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Datadog Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles in Datadog's core engineering teams
Datadog's Green Card sponsorships are concentrated in software engineering, infrastructure, and data-focused roles. Prioritizing these teams in your job search puts you in the best position to land a role where Green Card sponsorship is an established practice.
Confirm sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Not every offer automatically includes Green Card sponsorship. Ask your recruiter directly whether the role includes a Green Card pathway, and request clarity on when the process typically begins after your start date.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Datadog's Green Card filings typically go through PERM, which requires a formal job posting and prevailing wage documentation. Knowing this process helps you ask informed questions and set realistic timeline expectations during your offer negotiation.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Datadog's sponsorship history
Before applying, confirm Datadog's Green Card track record. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, giving you confidence that Datadog has sponsored Green Cards for roles similar to the one you're targeting.
Build tenure before your Green Card filing begins
Most Technology and Software companies, including Datadog, initiate Green Card sponsorship after an employee demonstrates strong performance over time. Treating your first year as a foundation for that conversation positions you well when the time comes.
Align your background with Datadog's specialty occupation standards
Green Card sponsorship in Technology and Software requires your role to meet specialty occupation criteria. Make sure your resume clearly demonstrates the technical depth and degree alignment that supports a strong PERM or EB-1 petition.

Does Datadog sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Datadog sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees, primarily in technical and engineering roles. The company has an established sponsorship track record in the Technology and Software industry. Candidates in software engineering, infrastructure, and data roles are the most likely to be considered for Green Card sponsorship after joining the company.
Which roles and departments at Datadog typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Datadog is most common in software engineering, site reliability engineering, data science, and product development. These are the areas where Datadog has consistently demonstrated sponsorship activity. Roles in sales, marketing, or operations are less likely to be sponsored, though it depends on the specific position and business need.
How does the Green Card application process work at Datadog?
Datadog typically files Green Cards through the PERM labor certification process, which is handled by the company's immigration counsel. The employer is responsible for the PERM filing, I-140 petition, and associated legal costs. Employees are generally not required to manage the paperwork directly, but staying informed about each stage helps you track progress and respond quickly if documentation is needed.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Datadog?
The timeline depends on your priority date, country of birth, and visa category. For most employees born outside India or China, the PERM and I-140 stages combined can take one to two years. Nationals from high-demand countries face significantly longer waits due to visa backlogs. Datadog typically initiates the process after an employee has demonstrated consistent performance in their role.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Datadog that include sponsorship?
Start by searching Datadog's careers page and filtering for technical roles that match your background. For additional confidence, use Migrate Mate to verify which Datadog roles have historically come with Green Card sponsorship. Once you identify a strong match, ask your recruiter directly whether the position includes a Green Card pathway as part of the offer package.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Datadog?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
