Job Roles at DoorDash
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in DoorDash Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and data roles first
DoorDash's Green Card filings are concentrated in software engineering, data science, and machine learning. If your background is in Technology & Software, these departments offer the most consistent path to Green Card sponsorship at DoorDash.
Raise Green Card sponsorship early in the offer process
Don't wait until after you've signed. Ask during the offer negotiation stage whether the role includes Green Card sponsorship. DoorDash's recruiting teams are familiar with the process and can confirm sponsorship intent before you accept.
Understand the PERM process before your first day
Most DoorDash Green Card filings go through PERM labor certification. Knowing how PERM works, including prevailing wage requirements and the employer's obligations, helps you ask better questions and set realistic timeline expectations from day one.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship before applying
Not every DoorDash role comes with Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on positions where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Build tenure before the Green Card conversation
DoorDash, like most Technology & Software companies, typically initiates Green Card filings after an employee has demonstrated consistent performance. Arriving with a strong internal reputation makes it easier to get sponsorship discussions moving on your timeline.
Confirm whether your role is PERM-eligible, not just visa-eligible
Some roles DoorDash hires into are eligible for work visas but not Green Card sponsorship. During your job search, clarify whether the specific position has been sponsored for permanent residency before investing time in the application process.

Does DoorDash sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. The company is among the more active Green Card sponsors in the Technology & Software sector, with filings spanning engineering, data, product, and operations functions. Sponsorship is typically initiated by the employer after you've joined and demonstrated performance in your role.
Which roles and departments at DoorDash are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Software engineering, data science, machine learning, and product management roles at DoorDash see the highest concentration of Green Card filings. Technical individual contributor positions tend to move through the process more consistently than generalist or early-career roles. Operations and strategy roles with specialized skill sets are also sponsored, though less frequently.
How do I start the Green Card process at DoorDash?
The process typically begins when DoorDash's immigration team or an outside counsel initiates a PERM labor certification on your behalf. You'll need to provide educational credentials, employment history, and other supporting documentation. The employer drives the filing, but staying organized and responsive during the documentation phase helps keep the timeline on track.
How long does the Green Card process take at DoorDash?
The full Green Card process, from PERM filing through I-140 approval and final visa issuance, generally takes several years. PERM adjudication alone can take one to two years. If your priority date is current, adjustment of status or consular processing follows. For nationals from India or China, the wait for a current priority date can extend significantly longer due to per-country backlogs.
How do I find Green Card-sponsored jobs at DoorDash?
Search DoorDash's careers page directly and filter for roles in engineering and technical functions, which are the most commonly sponsored. For a faster way to identify verified sponsors and filter by actual sponsorship history, Migrate Mate aggregates confirmed Green Card-sponsoring employers so you can target your search before you apply, not after.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at DoorDash?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
