As a Sr. Engineering Manager, you will lead teams that own product features end-to-end—from concept and design through development, launch, and ongoing evolution. You will play a pivotal role in partnering with Product Management, UX, Architecture, and Platform teams to deliver scalable solutions that balance customer value, speed, and technical excellence.
What you’ll do:
- People Leadership: Provide leadership and management for one or more Product Engineering teams, building a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Product Partnership: Partner deeply with Product Managers and UX designers to co-own product roadmaps, ensure technical feasibility, and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Drive collaboration across Product, Design, Architecture, Platform, Data, Security, and Operations to execute complex product initiatives.
- End-to-End Delivery: Lead teams responsible for feature development, experimentation, releases, operational support, and incremental improvements.
- Customer Focus: Ensure engineering teams understand customer needs, business outcomes, and success metrics beyond just technical requirements.
- AI-Powered Engineering: Promote the effective use of AI software engineering and productivity tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, automated test/code review, and incident analysis tools) to improve developer efficiency and code quality.
- Technical Guidance: Guide architectural and design decisions that support product scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Technical Health: Balance short-term product delivery with long-term technical health, addressing technical debt while maintaining delivery momentum.
- Agile Excellence: Establish Agile best practices that support product discovery, iterative delivery, backlog prioritization, and predictable execution.
- Dependency Management: Proactively manage dependencies across multiple product teams, shared services, and platform components.
- Mentorship: Mentor engineers and emerging leaders, developing strong product-thinking engineers and future technical leaders.
- Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
- Core Engineering: 10+ years of experience in software development or related engineering roles.
- Leadership: 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager, specifically leading Product Engineering teams.
- Product-Led Experience: Proven experience working in product-led development environments, partnering closely with Product Management and UX.
- Technical Proficiency: 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java or similar programming languages.
- Data & Systems: 5+ years of experience building and operating customer-facing applications backed by SQL/No-SQL databases.
- Cloud Infrastructure: 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP in a product delivery context.
- DevOps Maturity: 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and production support for live products.
- Agile Governance: 4+ years of strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments with shared accountability for product outcomes.
- AI & Productivity: Experience using and championing AI-based software engineering and productivity tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, automated testing, or operational intelligence tools) to accelerate delivery.
- Stakeholder Influence: Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills across technical and non-technical partners.
- Enterprise Environment: Experience working in large-scale enterprise or multi-product environments (Fiserv systems experience preferred).
EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE GREAT TO HAVE:
- Fintech Domain: Experience in financial services, payments, or fintech product development.
- Strategic Scale: Experience leading multiple product teams or platform-enabled product initiatives.
- Data-Driven Product Growth: Exposure to customer experience metrics, product analytics, and experimentation (A/B testing, feature flags).
- Global Collaboration: Experience working with distributed or globally aligned product teams.
HOW YOU’LL WORK:

Map your role to an EB pathway early
Fiserv files under both EB-2 and EB-3 depending on the role's degree requirements and wage level. Software engineers and data architects often qualify for EB-2, while some operations and support roles land in EB-3. Clarify which pathway applies before your first interview so you're negotiating from the right position.
Benchmark your wage against PERM standards
PERM requires Fiserv to pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up wage levels for your specific job title before you receive an offer, so you can assess whether the offer meets the threshold that will appear in your labor certification.
Build a technical portfolio that survives PERM recruitment
During PERM, Fiserv must advertise the role and demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers applied. Your credentials need to match the posted minimum requirements exactly. Gaps between your actual skills and the advertised job description can create complications, so align your resume to the role's stated requirements before applying.
Target Fiserv's enterprise product and platform teams
Fiserv's Green Card sponsorship activity clusters in product engineering, cloud infrastructure, and payments technology functions. Roles tied to core platform development carry longer employment horizons and are more likely to receive employer-initiated sponsorship than project-based or client-facing positions with shorter timelines.
Confirm sponsorship commitment before accepting an offer
Ask directly whether the specific role has a Green Card sponsorship track and who owns the process internally. Some Fiserv business units engage outside immigration counsel while others use a centralized HR function. Knowing which applies to your offer affects how quickly PERM can begin after your hire date.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Fiserv Green Card filings
Before applying, pull Fiserv's Green Card filing history by job title and location using Migrate Mate. You'll see which roles and offices have active sponsorship patterns, letting you prioritize openings where Green Card filing is already established practice rather than a first-time request to your hiring manager.
Fiserv Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fiserv sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Fiserv sponsors Green Cards for technology and software professionals. Sponsorship is most common in engineering, product development, and data roles. Fiserv files under both EB-2 and EB-3 categories depending on the position. Not every role qualifies automatically, so confirm sponsorship availability with your recruiter during the interview process.
Which roles at Fiserv typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Fiserv is concentrated in software engineering, cloud and infrastructure, data engineering, and payments technology roles. These functions sit within Fiserv's enterprise platform and product organizations. Operations, client services, and project management roles are less consistently sponsored, though exceptions exist depending on the business unit and seniority level.
How does the Green Card process work at Fiserv?
Fiserv typically initiates the PERM labor certification through DOL on your behalf after a qualifying period of employment. Once PERM is approved, Fiserv files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Your priority date is established at that point. Adjustment of status or consular processing follows based on visa availability in your category and country of birth.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Fiserv?
The PERM labor certification stage alone takes roughly six to eighteen months depending on DOL processing queues and whether an audit is triggered. After I-140 approval, wait times vary significantly by country of birth and EB category. Applicants born in India or China face backlogs measured in years, while other nationalities may wait far less time.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Fiserv?
Migrate Mate filters Fiserv's job listings by sponsorship history, so you can identify roles tied to active Green Card filing patterns rather than guessing. Cross-reference those openings with Fiserv's careers page and target positions in product engineering or cloud infrastructure, where sponsorship is most consistently offered to qualified candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Fiserv?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
