How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Fortinet Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and cybersecurity roles
Fortinet's Green Card filings concentrate in software engineering, network security, and product development. Applying for roles in these areas puts you in the strongest position to be considered for permanent residence sponsorship.
Ask about the Green Card timeline during interviews
Bring up Green Card sponsorship directly during offer-stage conversations. Fortinet's recruiting team is experienced with the process, so asking early helps you understand whether your specific role is on a sponsorship track.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at a company like Fortinet begins with PERM, a Department of Labor process that can take a year or more. Knowing this upfront helps you set realistic expectations and plan around your current visa status.

Does Fortinet sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Fortinet sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories. The company has an established track record of filing for permanent residence on behalf of workers in technical and engineering roles across its U.S. operations.
Which roles and departments at Fortinet typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Fortinet is most common in software engineering, network security, product development, and related technical disciplines. Roles requiring specialized cybersecurity expertise or advanced software skills tend to qualify most readily, as they align with the specialty occupation and advanced degree requirements used in EB-2 and EB-3 filings.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Fortinet?
The process generally starts after you've been employed at Fortinet for a period that satisfies PERM recruitment requirements. Fortinet's immigration team or an outside counsel firm then files a PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Your involvement includes providing employment history, education credentials, and documentation of your qualifications.
How long does the Green Card process take at Fortinet?
The timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the visa category used. For most nationalities, the full process from PERM through visa issuance takes two to four years. For applicants born in India or China, the wait can extend significantly longer due to annual per-country limits. Fortinet cannot control these backlogs, so planning your visa bridge strategy early matters.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Fortinet?
Search Fortinet's careers page directly and look for roles in engineering, security, and product functions. Migrate Mate is also worth using, as it lets you filter job listings by verified sponsorship history so you can confirm whether a specific role or department at Fortinet has a real track record of Green Card filings before you apply.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Fortinet?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
