Target engineering and R&D roles first
Globus Medical's Green Card sponsorship is most consistently tied to engineering, product development, and research positions. These technical roles in medical devices are where the company has the strongest track record of supporting employees through permanent residency.
Understand the PERM labor certification process
Green Card sponsorship at Globus Medical typically begins with PERM labor certification, where the company must demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. Understanding this stage helps you set realistic expectations and have informed conversations with the HR team during interviews.
Ask about sponsorship eligibility during the offer stage
Bring up Green Card sponsorship after you have a formal offer in hand, not before. Ask specifically whether the role is eligible for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, as the pathway depends on the degree requirements and responsibilities tied to your position at Globus Medical.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship history
Before applying, confirm Globus Medical's actual Green Card sponsorship activity rather than relying on company reputation alone. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your applications on roles with a genuine path to permanent residency.
Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
Globus Medical operates in a highly regulated medical devices environment. Roles requiring specialized degrees in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or regulatory affairs carry stronger Green Card eligibility. Ensure your resume clearly reflects the technical depth these sponsorship pathways require.
Build tenure before initiating the Green Card conversation
Most employers in medical devices, including Globus Medical, are more willing to invest in Green Card sponsorship for employees who have demonstrated performance over time. Establishing yourself in the role for at least a year before formally requesting sponsorship significantly improves your chances.
Globus Medical Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Globus Medical sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Globus Medical sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. Sponsorship is most common in technical and specialized roles within engineering, research, and product development. The company initiates Green Card cases through the standard employment-based process, including PERM labor certification, and has an established history of supporting international employees through permanent residency.
Which roles and departments at Globus Medical are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Engineering, research and development, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance roles are the most consistent recipients of Green Card sponsorship at Globus Medical. These positions require specialized technical knowledge aligned with the medical devices industry, which strengthens the employer's case during PERM labor certification and makes sponsorship more straightforward to justify.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Globus Medical?
The process typically begins with your employer filing a PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Globus Medical works with immigration counsel to manage these steps. Your role is to provide accurate employment history, educational credentials, and any documentation your assigned immigration attorney requests throughout the process.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Globus Medical?
Timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the visa category. For nationals of countries without significant backlogs, the process from PERM filing to Green Card approval can take two to four years. Indian and Chinese nationals face substantially longer waits due to per-country limits on employment-based visas, sometimes stretching well over a decade.
How do I find Green Card-sponsored jobs at Globus Medical?
Search Globus Medical's careers page directly and filter for roles in technical or engineering functions. For a broader view of which specific openings have verified sponsorship history, Migrate Mate lets you search Globus Medical roles filtered by actual Green Card sponsorship activity, helping you prioritize applications to positions with the strongest path to permanent residency.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Globus Medical?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
