At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
This is a hands-on leadership role sitting at the centre of how Lyft's talent acquisition team operates day-to-day. You'll lead the coordination team — setting the standard for scheduling excellence, coaching your team through complex challenges, and partnering across TA to remove friction from the candidate journey.
This role is roughly half people management and coaching, half active contribution to scheduling and team projects. The right person is someone who leads from the front: credible on the tools, invested in their team, and genuinely curious about what better looks like.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and hold the team accountable to scheduling SLAs — turnaround times, ticket pickups, interview confirmations — while building the environment where those standards are sustainable, not just enforced.
- Spotting the process gaps before they become escalations, using data to back your decisions, and asking regularly whether manual work can be simplified, automated, or eliminated. When you identify an opportunity, you don't just flag it — you drive it through to implementation.
- Coach and develop individual contributors: onboarding new team members, identifying skill gaps, providing specific and actionable feedback on a regular basis. Part of that coaching is helping the team build comfort with new tools and ways of working — you model curiosity about process improvement and bring the team along with you, rather than leaving them to catch up.
- Proactively seek feedback, identify where the scheduling or communication process is letting candidates down, and drive the changes needed to fix it. Some of those changes will be human — better communication, clearer ownership. Some will be structural — smarter use of automation and tooling to reduce lag, cut repetitive work, and free up the team's attention for the interactions that actually benefit from a person behind them.
- Know the tools deeply — scheduling systems, coordination workflows, data hygiene, automation capabilities — and you use that knowledge to mentor, evaluate, and improve, not just to manage. You'll contribute to workstreams that sit beyond your immediate team, supporting TA OKRs and process improvement initiatives that benefit the wider organization.
- Build and nurture partnerships with Talent Acquisition leaders and Hiring teams on behalf of the recruiting coordination team. You are a strong and productive collaborator who drives and adapts team strategy to maintain excellent logistical candidate management, nurture strong interviewing practices, and advocate for candidate experience and representation of Lyft.
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in recruitment coordination or talent acquisition operations, with some experience leading or mentoring others
- Strong working knowledge of scheduling systems and coordination tooling, with genuine attention to data integrity
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or automation — you've made work measurably better, not just tidier on paper
- Comfortable using metrics to identify problems and evaluate solutions — you don't need a dashboard built for you to ask the right questions
- A track record of giving feedback that lands well: specific, constructive, and delivered with care
- Able to balance competing priorities without dropping the ball on fundamentals
- A collaborative instinct — you build trust with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates alike, and you're known for following through
Benefits:
- Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
- Mental health benefits
- Family building benefits
- Child care and pet benefits
- 401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
- In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
- 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
- Subsidized commuter benefits
- Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership

Target engineering and data roles first
Lyft's Green Card sponsorship activity is concentrated in software engineering, machine learning, and data science. If your background is in these areas, you're applying for the roles Lyft most consistently supports through the full Green Card process.
Ask about Green Card intent during the offer stage
The right time to raise Green Card sponsorship is during offer negotiation, not after you've signed. Ask directly whether the role is eligible for permanent residency support and what the typical timeline looks like at Lyft.
Understand the PERM labor certification step
Lyft's Green Card process starts with PERM, where the Department of Labor certifies no qualified U.S. workers are available. This requires a formal recruitment period, so Lyft must initiate the process well before you want to file your I-140 petition.
Build tenure before expecting Green Card filing
Most technology companies, including Lyft, expect employees to demonstrate performance and stability before initiating Green Card sponsorship. Focusing on your impact in the first year or two signals long-term fit and strengthens the case for sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Green Card roles
Not every Lyft job posting will explicitly mention Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify Lyft roles with a credible track record of supporting permanent residency.
Account for priority date backlogs if you're from India or China
Even after Lyft files your I-140, employment-based Green Card backlogs for nationals of India and China can add years to the wait. Factor this into your long-term planning and discuss your country of birth with Lyft's immigration team early.
Lyft Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Lyft sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Lyft sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. The company files employment-based petitions primarily for roles in engineering, data science, and technical functions. Sponsorship is typically initiated after an employee has established themselves in the role, and Lyft works with outside immigration counsel to manage the PERM and I-140 process.
Which roles and departments at Lyft are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Software engineering, machine learning, data science, and product management roles represent the strongest candidates for Green Card sponsorship at Lyft. These are the disciplines where the company competes hardest for specialized talent and has the most consistent history of supporting employees through the permanent residency process.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Lyft?
The process typically begins with PERM labor certification, where Lyft conducts a formal recruitment process and the Department of Labor certifies the position. Once PERM is approved, Lyft files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. After I-140 approval, you wait for your priority date to become current before filing for adjustment of status or consular processing.
How long does the Green Card process take at Lyft?
Timeline varies significantly depending on your country of birth and visa category. For most nationalities, the PERM and I-140 stages combined can take one to two years. For nationals of India and China, employment-based backlogs mean the total wait from filing to Green Card approval can stretch well beyond a decade in some categories.
How do I find Green Card sponsorship jobs at Lyft?
Standard job boards rarely distinguish between employers who genuinely sponsor Green Cards and those who list it as a checkbox. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, letting you search for Lyft openings filtered by verified sponsorship history. From there, focus your application on technical roles where Lyft has the strongest record of supporting permanent residency.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Lyft?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
