Align your resume to PERM-auditable roles
Oracle's PERM filings tend to cluster around software development, systems architecture, and database engineering. Frame your resume around the specific technical requirements DOL will audit against, so your qualifications aren't a liability during the labor certification process.
Understand which EB category fits your background
Oracle sponsors across EB-2 and EB-3 depending on the role's degree requirements. EB-2 typically applies to positions requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability. If your role qualifies for EB-2, it also opens the door to a National Interest Waiver self-petition as a backup path.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
Oracle must pay the DOL-certified prevailing wage for your specific role and location once PERM is filed. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the wage level for your job title before salary negotiations, so you know the floor the offer must meet.
Target teams with established sponsorship precedent
Oracle's cloud platform, database, and enterprise applications divisions have longer sponsorship track records than newer business units. When targeting internal roles, prioritize teams where Green Card filing is a routine part of retention, not an exception requiring manager escalation.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Oracle's filing history by role
Before applying, confirm that Oracle has filed Green Cards for roles matching your occupation code. Migrate Mate surfaces Oracle's DOL Labor Condition Application and PERM filing history by job title, so you can validate sponsorship precedent before investing time in the application process.
Prepare your I-140 documentation while PERM is pending
PERM certification can take a year or longer. Use that window to gather supporting documentation for your I-140 petition, including degree transcripts, employment verification letters, and any publications or patents that strengthen an EB-2 extraordinary ability or advanced degree claim.
Oracle Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Oracle sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Oracle sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying full-time employees, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories. Sponsorship is most common in technical roles across software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and database development. Sponsorship is initiated by Oracle, not the employee, so eligibility is determined internally after hiring.
Which roles at Oracle are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Oracle is concentrated in software engineering, cloud architecture, systems development, and enterprise technology roles. These positions align with the specialty occupation definitions USCIS and DOL apply during PERM labor certification. Roles in sales, general management, or support functions are sponsored less frequently and typically require additional internal advocacy.
How do I start the Green Card process at Oracle?
Oracle's immigration team initiates the process internally, usually after you've been employed for a period and your manager supports the filing. The sequence runs from a PERM labor certification filed with DOL, to an I-140 immigrant petition filed with USCIS, to adjustment of status or consular processing once a visa number becomes available. You don't file anything yourself at the PERM stage.
How long does the Green Card process take at Oracle?
Timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and which EB category applies. For most countries, EB-2 and EB-3 processing through PERM and I-140 takes one to three years before a visa number is even available. Applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits due to per-country backlogs tracked in the USCIS Visa Bulletin.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Oracle?
Migrate Mate lists Oracle roles where Green Card sponsorship is available, filtered by Oracle's verified PERM and LCA filing history. Search by job title or occupation code to find positions that match your background and where Oracle has an established sponsorship track record, rather than relying on job postings that don't disclose sponsorship status.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Oracle?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
