Job Roles at Touro University
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Touro University Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target faculty and research roles first
Touro University's Green Card sponsorship is most common in tenure-track faculty, research, and clinical education positions. Focusing your search on these departments gives you the best chance of landing a role with a clear path to permanent residency.
Raise Green Card sponsorship early in negotiations
At universities like Touro, Green Card sponsorship decisions are often made during the offer stage. Asking directly whether the position includes PERM-based sponsorship before signing avoids misaligned expectations later in your employment.
Search verified Green Card sponsors before applying
Not every university role comes with Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify Touro openings where permanent residency support is genuinely on the table.
Prepare for a multi-year PERM process
Green Card sponsorship through an employer like Touro involves PERM labor certification, which requires your employer to complete a formal recruitment process. Starting your job search with this timeline in mind helps you plan your visa status transitions accordingly.

Does Touro University sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Touro University sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees, particularly in faculty, clinical education, and research roles. Sponsorship is typically offered through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories and is most common in positions requiring advanced degrees or specialized expertise within their health sciences and professional programs.
Which roles and departments at Touro University are most likely to offer Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Touro University is most common in tenure-track faculty positions, academic research roles, and clinical education departments tied to their health sciences and pharmacy programs. Administrative and support roles occasionally qualify under EB-3, but sponsorship is significantly more consistent for roles requiring a master's degree or higher.
How does the Green Card application process work at Touro University?
Touro's Green Card process typically begins with PERM labor certification, where the university must document a formal recruitment effort showing no qualified U.S. workers were available. Once PERM is approved, Touro files an I-140 immigrant petition on your behalf. Depending on your country of birth and visa category, you then wait for a visa number before filing for adjustment of status.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through Touro University?
The timeline varies significantly based on your visa category and country of birth. For most applicants born outside India or China, the PERM and I-140 stages can take one to three years combined. If you're subject to a visa backlog, the wait for an available immigrant visa number can extend the total process considerably beyond that initial window.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Touro University?
Start by reviewing Touro University's careers page and filtering for faculty and research openings, since those are most likely to include sponsorship. Migrate Mate is also worth using, as it identifies employers with verified Green Card sponsorship history so you can focus your applications on roles where permanent residency support is a realistic outcome rather than an afterthought.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Touro University?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
