Align your credentials with laboratory standards
Eurofins hires heavily for roles requiring accreditation-specific skills in medical device testing and quality systems. Before applying, verify your degree maps directly to the specialty occupation definition under USCIS criteria. A mismatch between your field of study and the role's technical requirements is the most common H-1B denial trigger.
Target Eurofins's quality and compliance divisions
H-1B sponsorship at Eurofins concentrates in laboratory science, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance roles tied to medical device testing. Prioritize postings that list ISO or FDA regulatory frameworks in the requirements, as these roles carry clearer specialty occupation arguments and stronger LCA justification through DOL.
Check prevailing wage before salary negotiations
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the wage level for your specific occupation code and work location before you receive an offer. Eurofins must pay at least the prevailing wage on your LCA, so knowing the Level I through Level IV range helps you evaluate whether an offer is compliant before you sign.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm Eurofins's sponsorship history
Before investing time in Eurofins's application process, use Migrate Mate to review its H-1B Labor Condition Application filing history by role and location. This tells you which specific job titles and lab sites have active sponsorship patterns, so you can focus your application on positions with a realistic path to approval.
Understand Eurofins's H-1B filing calendar
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed with USCIS in April for an October 1 start date. If Eurofins extends you an offer in Q1, confirm immediately whether your role is cap-subject or falls under a cap-exempt category. Cap-exempt status depends on whether your work site qualifies under USCIS definitions, not just employer preference.
Request your O*NET code during the offer stage
Ask the Eurofins recruiter or HR contact which O*NET occupation code the role is classified under before your I-129 petition is filed. In medical device testing, roles can fall across multiple SOC codes with different specialty occupation precedents. Confirming this early prevents last-minute documentation issues after USCIS issues a Request for Evidence.
Eurofins H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Eurofins sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Eurofins sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles across its U.S. laboratory and testing operations, particularly in the medical devices sector. Sponsorship is most common in scientific, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs positions that meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements. Sponsorship decisions are made at the business unit level, so availability varies by site and role.
Which departments at Eurofins are most likely to offer H-1B sponsorship?
Eurofins's strongest H-1B sponsorship activity aligns with its core laboratory services, including medical device testing, bioanalytical sciences, quality systems, and regulatory compliance. Roles requiring specialized scientific degrees in chemistry, microbiology, or engineering consistently appear in its filing history. Corporate and administrative functions are sponsored less frequently than technical laboratory roles.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Eurofins?
Once Eurofins extends a qualifying offer, its HR or immigration team works with an immigration attorney to file the Labor Condition Application with DOL, followed by the I-129 petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide educational credentials, employment history, and any prior immigration documents quickly. Delays in document submission are the most common cause of missed filing windows.
How long does the H-1B process take at Eurofins?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, Eurofins must file in April and your authorization begins October 1, meaning a roughly six-month gap between offer and start date is normal. Premium processing through USCIS reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days. For cap-exempt situations, timelines are shorter and not tied to the annual lottery cycle.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Eurofins that match my background?
Use Migrate Mate to search Eurofins's H-1B Labor Condition Application data filtered by job title and work location. This surfaces which specific roles and lab sites have active sponsorship patterns, letting you apply strategically rather than guessing. Cross-reference the O*NET occupation profile for your target role to confirm your degree meets the specialty occupation standard before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Eurofins?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
