Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation criteria
Forgen's consulting work tends to require specialized expertise. Focus your applications on roles with clear degree requirements in a specific field, such as engineering, finance, or management consulting, as these are most likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
Raise sponsorship early in the hiring conversation
In consulting and professional services, firms assess project fit and staffing costs together. Mentioning your H-1B need before the offer stage gives Forgen's hiring team time to evaluate sponsorship feasibility without it becoming a last-minute obstacle.
Understand where Forgen fits in the H-1B calendar
H-1B cap-subject petitions have an April filing window for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing at Forgen outside that window, ask whether they can file for the next cycle or extend your current status in the interim.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Forgen's sponsorship history before applying
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history. Checking Forgen's profile before applying helps you confirm they've sponsored H-1B visas in roles matching your background, saving time on applications unlikely to lead to sponsorship.
Prepare a clear case for your specialty occupation
Consulting firms like Forgen often need to demonstrate that a role qualifies as a specialty occupation to USCIS. Come prepared to articulate how your degree field directly ties to the position, as this strengthens the petition and speeds internal approval decisions.
Engage Forgen's recruiters with specific project experience
In professional services hiring, specificity matters. Highlighting consulting projects, client-facing deliverables, or domain expertise relevant to Forgen's practice areas signals high fit and makes it easier for recruiters to build an internal sponsorship case on your behalf.
Forgen H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Forgen sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Forgen does sponsor H-1B visas. The company operates in consulting and professional services, where specialized roles often meet the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B eligibility. Sponsorship activity is selective, so candidates should target roles with clear degree requirements and confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiting team during the interview process.
Which roles at Forgen are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Forgen is most likely for roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a technical or professional discipline. Positions in consulting, analytics, engineering, and project management tend to align most naturally with the specialty occupation standard. Generalist roles without a required degree field are less likely to qualify.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Forgen?
Once Forgen extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, their HR or legal team works with an immigration attorney to file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by the H-1B petition with USCIS. Cap-subject candidates must be registered in the annual lottery. Throughout the process, stay responsive to document requests and timeline milestones set by Forgen's immigration counsel.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at Forgen?
From offer acceptance to an approved H-1B, the timeline typically runs several months. The LCA certification alone takes around seven business days under standard processing. If you require lottery selection, add the April registration window and an October 1 start date into your planning. Premium processing is available for faster USCIS adjudication if Forgen elects to use it.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Forgen as an international candidate?
Start by searching Forgen's careers page for roles matching your background, then cross-reference with Migrate Mate, which lets you filter opportunities by confirmed sponsorship history so you can prioritize applications at companies with a real track record. When you apply to Forgen, note your visa status clearly on the application and follow up with the recruiter to confirm sponsorship is available for that specific position.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Forgen?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
