Description
The Bayer lab at NYU’s Department of Biology is looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to work as a Junior Laboratory Associate.
This position is for a trainee preparing for a research path. It will provide development of technical skills; supervision by senior scientists incorporating individual development plan in support of training goals and those of faculty mentor; and possible publication of research findings during appointment period.
Responsibilities will include designing and performing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, presenting research findings, and animal husbandry.

This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,656. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Biology or Neuroscience and prior research experience.
