Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Prometric H-1B Jobs
Target technical and product roles
Prometric's H-1B sponsorship tends to concentrate in software development, data engineering, and IT infrastructure positions. Focus your applications on roles where a specialized degree is a core requirement, not just a preference.
Confirm sponsorship before applying
Not every open role at Prometric comes with H-1B sponsorship attached. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and avoid wasting time on roles that won't support your visa.
Align your degree to the job description
H-1B approval hinges on the role qualifying as a specialty occupation. Make sure your application highlights how your specific degree field directly matches the technical requirements listed in the Prometric job posting.
Engage Prometric's recruiting team early
Prometric operates in a specialized education technology niche. Reaching out to recruiters before submitting a formal application signals initiative and gives you a chance to confirm their willingness to sponsor H-1B for that specific opening.
Prepare for H-1B lottery timing constraints
If your H-1B requires the annual cap lottery, coordinate your offer timeline with Prometric's HR team so both sides understand the April registration window and the October start date that follows a successful selection.
Highlight education sector domain knowledge
Prometric serves testing and credentialing programs across education and professional certification. Demonstrating familiarity with this industry in your resume and interviews strengthens your case as a candidate worth the sponsorship investment.
Prometric H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Prometric sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Prometric does sponsor H-1B visas. Sponsorship is primarily directed toward technical and specialized roles where a degree in a specific field is a core requirement. Not every position qualifies, so confirming H-1B support with the recruiter early in the process is the most reliable approach before investing time in an application.
Which roles at Prometric are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
Roles in software engineering, data analytics, IT systems, and product development are the most common candidates for H-1B sponsorship at Prometric. Positions requiring a specialized technical degree in fields like computer science, information technology, or engineering are stronger fits for the specialty occupation standard H-1B petitions must meet.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Prometric?
After receiving a job offer, Prometric's HR team works with an immigration attorney to file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS. If you're subject to the annual cap, your registration must be submitted during the March lottery window. Cap-exempt situations, such as transferring from another H-1B employer, move faster and skip the lottery entirely.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at Prometric?
For cap-subject petitions, the full timeline from lottery registration to an October 1 start date spans roughly six to seven months. USCIS standard processing for the petition itself typically takes three to five months after filing, though premium processing can reduce that to around two weeks. Build these timelines into your conversations with Prometric's hiring team from the start.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Prometric that are open to visa sponsorship?
Searching Prometric's careers page is a starting point, but job listings rarely specify H-1B sponsorship clearly. Migrate Mate compiles verified H-1B sponsor data so you can identify roles at Prometric that align with real sponsorship history, saving you the guesswork of applying to positions that may not support your visa status.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Prometric?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
