The strategic outcome is to maintain a highly available system, modernize the manufacturing controls and make information readily available for regulatory compliance, supply chain monitoring and improving manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include leading a team of systems admins, managing the operational support, maintenance, incident management, and continuous improvement development activities for the manufacturing systems at the factory locations.
The position includes managerial responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical and functional expertise. The manager will work with the IT, business leaders, consultants, and end users to resolve issues, implement solutions from concept through implementation, and provide ongoing support and training.
Responsibilities

- Technical Leadership & Architecture: Serve as the lead solution architect for the Systems, overseeing design, development, and maintenance of the system. This includes ensuring system reliability and availability, scalability, and performance in a demanding 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Deep Semiconductor Process Integration: Ensure the Systems solutions meet the unique and rigorous requirements of semiconductor manufacturing, including full material traceability at the individual wafer or lot level, equipment management, recipe management, and real-time data collection from highly automated equipment via protocols like SECS/GEM.
- Team Management and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of multi-national specialized engineers, developers, and analysts, establishing best practices for software development, code reviews, and quality assurance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between fab operations, engineering teams, IT infrastructure, and quality assurance to gather requirements, resolve complex issues, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Prioritize incoming requests and incidents, assists in prioritizing key initiatives, and communicates system changes to stakeholders prior to deployment of new solutions.
- Manage and resolve conflicts with understanding and professionalism.
- Collaborate with Automation Engineers, Process Engineers, Industrial Engineers, and operations teams.

- Continuously assess project roadblocks and constraints and provide feedback to senior management.
- Experience managing contractual agreements with vendor.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all MES solutions meet rigorous quality standards and regulatory requirements specific to semiconductor and electronics manufacturing (e.g., GAMP 5 (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice 5), SPC/Statistical Process Control, quality checklists).
- Maintain process, data flows and integration documentation in area of responsibility.
- Be a resource for setting up Product Data Management including Bills of Materials, Primary Procedures, Routings and Recipes.
Required Experience and Skills
- Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, or Materials Science preferred) or a related technical field is required.

Target engineering and technical roles
Skyworks sponsors H-1B primarily for roles in RF engineering, analog design, semiconductor process development, and firmware. Focusing your application on these technical disciplines puts you in the strongest position for sponsorship consideration.
Demonstrate specialty occupation qualifications
H-1B requires your role to qualify as a specialty occupation. For Skyworks positions, a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field is essential. Highlight coursework and experience that directly maps to the job description.
Apply before H-1B cap season closes
USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March each year for an October 1 start date. Timing your application to Skyworks well before this window ensures your employer has enough lead time to file if you're selected in the lottery.
Use verified sponsorship data when job searching
Not every open role at Skyworks will come with sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify which Skyworks positions are realistically open to H-1B candidates.
Understand Skyworks' hiring pipeline in electronics
Skyworks recruits heavily from semiconductor engineering programs and defense electronics backgrounds. Internships, co-ops, or prior industry experience in RF or mixed-signal design significantly strengthen your candidacy for a sponsored full-time role.
Confirm sponsorship willingness early in the process
During recruiter conversations, ask directly whether the specific role supports H-1B sponsorship. Skyworks has multiple business units, and sponsorship availability can vary by team, location, and headcount approval for that hiring cycle.
Skyworks Solutions H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Skyworks Solutions sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Skyworks Solutions sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent record of filing H-1B petitions, primarily for engineering and technical roles in its semiconductor and RF technology operations. Sponsorship is most common in roles requiring specialized technical degrees, and Skyworks works with immigration counsel to manage the petition process for eligible candidates.
Which roles and departments at Skyworks Solutions typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Skyworks is concentrated in technical functions. RF design engineers, analog and mixed-signal engineers, semiconductor process engineers, and product development roles are the most common sponsored positions. Research and development teams, along with advanced technology groups, account for the majority of filings. Business and administrative roles are rarely sponsored.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Skyworks Solutions?
Once Skyworks extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, their HR and legal teams initiate the H-1B process. This includes filing a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by the USCIS petition. You'll need to provide educational credentials, employment verification, and documentation supporting the specialty occupation classification. Skyworks typically uses outside immigration counsel to manage filings.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Skyworks Solutions?
The timeline depends on when you enter the process relative to the USCIS cap cycle. If you're subject to the annual lottery, registration opens in March and work authorization begins October 1 if selected. Standard USCIS processing after lottery selection runs several months, while premium processing can shorten adjudication to a few weeks. Build at least six to eight months of lead time into your planning.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Skyworks Solutions as an international candidate?
Searching Skyworks' careers page directly is a starting point, but it won't tell you which roles are open to visa candidates. Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified sponsorship history, so you can identify Skyworks positions where H-1B sponsorship is a realistic option rather than applying broadly and finding out late in the process that sponsorship isn't available for that role.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Skyworks Solutions?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
