INTRODUCTION
Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, the #1 cause of death worldwide, using cutting-edge technology. The flagship product—an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA Chest Pain Guidelines called the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis—provides a color-coded, 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries indicating the impact blockages have on blood flow to the heart. Heartflow is the first AI-driven non-invasive integrated heart care solution across the CCTA pathway that helps clinicians identify stenoses in the coronary arteries (RoadMap™Analysis), assess coronary blood flow (FFRCT Analysis), and characterize and quantify coronary atherosclerosis (Plaque Analysis). Our pipeline of products is growing and so is our team; join us in helping to revolutionize precision heartcare. Heartflow is a publicly traded company (HTFL) that has received international recognition for exceptional strides in healthcare innovation, is supported by medical societies around the world, cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada, and has been used for more than 500,000 patients worldwide.

Frame your clinical sales credentials clearly
Heartflow's BD roles sit at the intersection of cardiology and health system sales. Document any experience with diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular devices, or hospital procurement cycles before you apply, since these map directly to how the company evaluates commercial candidates.
Target territory roles aligned to major cardiology hubs
Heartflow's open Sales Business Development positions are distributed across U.S. regions with high concentrations of academic medical centers. Prioritize applications in territories where health system density is highest, since those roles have historically moved faster through hiring and onboarding.
Clarify sponsorship intent before your final interview round
Medical device companies manage sponsorship through their HR and legal teams, not hiring managers. Ask directly during the offer stage whether the role supports H-1B filing, so you're not discovering a policy gap after verbal acceptance.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Heartflow posts Sales Business Development positions across multiple channels, but not all listings flag sponsorship availability. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Heartflow BD roles that align with your visa type, so you apply to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Account for PERM timing if you're targeting permanent residence
If Heartflow moves you toward an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, the PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS adjudication begins. Factor this into your long-term planning, especially if your H-1B cap date is approaching.

Find Sales Business Development at Heartflow JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Heartflow sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Business Developments?
Yes, Heartflow has sponsored H-1B visas for employees in commercial and business development functions. Sponsorship decisions are made on a role-by-role basis and typically require the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria. BD roles with a technical or clinical component, such as those involving AI-driven diagnostic tools, are more likely to meet that threshold. Confirm sponsorship directly with the recruiter during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Sales Business Development jobs at Heartflow?
Applications go through Heartflow's careers portal, where open BD roles are listed by territory and function. You can also find and filter Heartflow's Sales Business Development positions on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles by visa type so you can identify which listings align with your work authorization. Tailor your application to highlight experience in cardiology, health system sales, or diagnostic device commercialization, since those are the qualifications Heartflow's BD team prioritizes.
Which visa types does Heartflow commonly use for Sales Business Development roles?
Heartflow has sponsored Sales Business Development candidates under the H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Card pathways. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering commercial associate roles, while H-1B is the primary long-term work visa for experienced BD professionals. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree field, and the specific role.
What qualifications does Heartflow expect for Sales Business Development roles?
Most Heartflow BD positions require a bachelor's degree, with preference for backgrounds in life sciences, biomedical engineering, business, or a clinical field. Relevant experience in medical device or cardiovascular diagnostics sales carries significant weight. Roles focused on health system accounts often expect familiarity with hospital procurement processes, cardiology service line decision-makers, and value-based care frameworks. Advanced degrees can strengthen both your candidacy and your H-1B specialty occupation case.
How do I plan my timeline if Heartflow is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B cap-subject filings open in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT when you receive an offer, your OPT must remain valid through the lottery and filing window, or you'll need a cap-gap extension to bridge the gap. USCIS standard processing runs three to five months, though premium processing can reduce that to 15 business days. Coordinate your start date and any territory onboarding timeline with Heartflow's HR team accordingly.
