Align your skills with industrial software needs
Henkel's software teams support manufacturing execution systems, supply chain automation, and materials data platforms. Highlighting experience with enterprise integrations, SAP ecosystems, or IoT data pipelines makes your profile directly relevant to how they build and staff these functions.
Target roles in digitalization and IT functions
Henkel concentrates software hiring within its Digital and IT divisions rather than spreading it across business units. Filtering specifically for roles under those functions, rather than browsing all open positions, surfaces the most sponsorship-active software openings.
Use Migrate Mate to surface sponsored Software Engineer openings
Not every Henkel software posting explicitly flags visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter for confirmed sponsoring roles at Henkel so you're applying where your work authorization situation is already accounted for, not discovered late in the process.
Understand how TN status applies to your role
Canadian and Mexican nationals qualifying under TN may cover software engineering roles if the position aligns with the Computer Systems Analyst or Engineer category. Confirm the specific job title and duties map cleanly to a recognized TN occupation before your offer letter is finalized.
Track PERM timing if your goal is a Green Card
Henkel sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which require PERM labor certification through DOL before the immigrant petition stage. PERM filings often begin 12 to 18 months into employment, so asking about the typical internal timeline during offer negotiation sets realistic expectations.

Find Software Engineer at Henkel JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Henkel sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Henkel sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles. Software engineering positions at Henkel typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, given the degree requirements in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, your employer would need to file during the annual USCIS registration window, which opens in March for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Henkel?
Applications go through Henkel's careers portal, where software roles are listed under Digital and IT functions. Before applying, confirm the posting supports visa sponsorship, since not all listings state this clearly. Migrate Mate filters Henkel's open Software Engineer positions by sponsorship type, so you can identify the right roles before investing time in a full application.
Which visa types does Henkel commonly use for Software Engineers?
Henkel has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for software roles. H-1B is the most common long-term path for non-Canadian and non-Mexican nationals. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican engineers whose role maps to a qualifying occupation category under USMCA.
What qualifications does Henkel expect for Software Engineer roles?
Henkel's software engineering positions typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Roles within their digital transformation and supply chain platforms often emphasize enterprise software experience, cloud infrastructure, or data engineering skills. Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing IT environments strengthens your candidacy, particularly for roles tied to Henkel's chemicals and materials operations.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take after a job offer from Henkel?
Timeline depends on visa type. F-1 OPT authorization should already be in place before your start date. H-1B sponsorship requires a cap registration in March and, if selected, a petition filed for an October 1 start, meaning offers extended in spring may have a six-month gap before you can begin. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry or consulate with fewer delays. For Green Card sponsorship through PERM, expect the process to begin well into your tenure.
