Verify Your RN License Before Applying
HonorHealth requires Arizona RN licensure for School Nurse roles. If you hold a compact state license, confirm Arizona is covered. If not, start the endorsement process with the Arizona State Board of Nursing before submitting applications.
Target HonorHealth's Community Health Openings
School Nurse roles at HonorHealth often sit within their community health and education partnerships rather than acute care. Filtering by department or program type rather than just job title surfaces postings that match your scope of practice and sponsorship eligibility.
Ask About Visa Type Early in Screening
HonorHealth sponsors multiple visa categories for nursing roles. During your initial recruiter call, ask specifically which visa type they intend to file for your situation. H-1B and TN have very different timelines and eligibility requirements, so the answer shapes your planning.
Align Your Application Timing With H-1B Registration
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the annual USCIS registration window opens in March for an October 1 start date. Targeting HonorHealth offers in the December through February window gives your recruiter time to register before the deadline without rushing the hiring process.
Browse HonorHealth Openings Through Migrate Mate
School Nurse roles at HonorHealth that include visa sponsorship are listed on Migrate Mate. Filtering by role and visa type lets you confirm which active openings are sponsorship-eligible before you spend time tailoring your application and credentials.

Find School Nurse at HonorHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does HonorHealth sponsor H-1B visas for School Nurses?
Yes, HonorHealth sponsors H-1B visas for nursing roles including School Nurses. Because the H-1B is a specialty occupation visa, the role must require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Most registered nurse positions with clinical or community health scope meet this standard. Your employer files the H-1B petition with USCIS on your behalf after securing a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL.
How do I apply for School Nurse jobs at HonorHealth?
Apply directly through HonorHealth's careers portal or browse sponsorship-confirmed openings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-eligible roles. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect community health or school-based nursing experience. After your application, a recruiter typically conducts an initial screening call where you can confirm sponsorship intent and discuss visa category options before moving to panel interviews.
Which visa types does HonorHealth commonly use for School Nurse roles?
HonorHealth sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for nursing positions. TN status is available only to Canadian and Mexican citizens under the USMCA agreement and covers registered nurses directly. F-1 OPT is often a bridge option for recent nursing graduates while longer-term sponsorship is arranged. Green Card sponsorship typically requires a separate PERM labor certification filed with the DOL.
What qualifications does HonorHealth expect for School Nurse candidates?
HonorHealth typically requires an active Arizona RN license, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and relevant clinical experience. School Nurse roles in particular often favor candidates with pediatric, community health, or ambulatory care backgrounds. Certifications such as Certified School Nurse or Basic Life Support are commonly listed as preferred. If your degree is from outside the United States, a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved body strengthens your application.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at HonorHealth?
Timeline depends on your visa category. TN status for Canadian citizens can be obtained at the border on your start date. H-1B petitions filed for October 1 start dates require USCIS registration in March, with premium processing available to reduce adjudication to roughly 15 business days. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card paths involving PERM typically run 18 to 36 months or longer depending on your country of birth and USCIS backlogs.
