Align Your Credentials to HTM Standards
Healthcare technology management roles at hospital systems like HonorHealth often expect CBET or equivalent biomedical certifications. Getting credentialed before you apply signals technical readiness and reduces employer hesitation around sponsoring an unfamiliar candidate.
Target Facilities and HTM Departments Directly
HonorHealth posts Service Tech openings across multiple campuses. Filter applications by department, not just job title, and look specifically for Facilities, Biomedical Engineering, or Clinical Engineering postings where sponsorship has historically been more common.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Sponsorship-Verified Openings
Not every Service Tech listing will advertise visa sponsorship upfront. Use Migrate Mate to browse HonorHealth roles already filtered by confirmed sponsorship history, so you're applying to positions where the pathway is real, not assumed.
Clarify OPT or CPT Timing Before Your Interview
If you're on F-1 OPT, your authorization window is fixed. Come to the interview knowing your OPT expiration date and STEM extension eligibility so you can answer timeline questions clearly. Employers appreciate candidates who understand their own status constraints.
Understand How TN Status Applies to Technical Roles
TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals can cover certain engineering and technical occupations. Confirm with an immigration attorney whether your specific Service Tech role at HonorHealth meets DOL's occupational requirements before counting on this pathway.
Ask About the PERM Process During the Offer Stage
HonorHealth has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for employees, which typically requires PERM labor certification through DOL. If long-term U.S. residency is your goal, ask the HR team early whether the role is eligible and what the expected timeline looks like.

Find Service Tech at HonorHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does HonorHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Service Techs?
Yes, HonorHealth has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for technical roles including Service Tech positions. That said, sponsorship availability depends on the specific role, department, and business need at the time of hire. Raising the conversation early in the interview process, before an offer is extended, gives both sides time to confirm eligibility and plan the USCIS petition timeline.
How do I apply for Service Tech jobs at HonorHealth?
You can apply directly through HonorHealth's careers portal, where openings are posted by campus and department. To find roles already associated with confirmed visa sponsorship history, Migrate Mate lets you browse HonorHealth Service Tech listings filtered by sponsorship track record, which saves time compared to reviewing each posting individually.
Which visa types are commonly used for Service Tech roles at HonorHealth?
HonorHealth has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Cards (EB-2 and EB-3) for employees. For Service Tech roles specifically, H-1B and OPT are the most practical entry points, while EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship typically comes after you've established yourself within the organization and the employer initiates a PERM labor certification through DOL.
What qualifications does HonorHealth expect for Service Tech candidates?
HonorHealth Service Tech roles generally expect hands-on experience with biomedical equipment, facilities systems, or clinical technology, depending on the specific department. Certifications such as CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) are valued and in some postings required. A technical associate's degree or equivalent vocational training is commonly listed as a baseline qualification, with some roles requiring previous hospital or healthcare setting experience.
How do I plan my timeline if I'm on OPT and targeting a Service Tech role at HonorHealth?
Standard F-1 OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization after graduation. If your degree is in a STEM field and your role qualifies, you can apply for a 24-month STEM OPT extension, giving you up to 36 months total. File the STEM extension at least 90 days before your current OPT expires. Use that window to get hired, demonstrate your value, and give HonorHealth time to file an H-1B petition on your behalf before your OPT runs out.
