Certify Healthcare Equipment Credentials Before Applying
CHRISTUS Health facilities operate regulated medical equipment under Joint Commission standards. Having verifiable certifications in biomedical equipment, HVAC, or facility systems before you apply signals readiness and reduces employer hesitation around sponsoring a non-citizen candidate.
Target Postings in CHRISTUS's Larger Markets
CHRISTUS operates major campuses in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. Larger facilities in those states carry more dedicated HR infrastructure to support visa filings, so Service Tech openings at flagship hospitals are more likely to result in a sponsorship conversation than smaller affiliate sites.
Browse Open Service Tech Roles on Migrate Mate
CHRISTUS posts Service Tech openings across multiple states on a rolling basis. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for CHRISTUS Health positions that align with your visa type, so you're not manually tracking dozens of job boards while on a time-sensitive status.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
CHRISTUS has supported both H-1B and employment-based Green Card pathways for technical roles. When you receive an offer, ask directly whether the role includes PERM-based sponsorship or only a nonimmigrant visa, because the answer shapes your long-term planning significantly.
Prepare Documentation Showing System-Specific Experience
USCIS H-1B petitions for Service Tech roles require evidence the position meets specialty occupation criteria. Gather documentation of your work on hospital-grade systems, such as nurse call systems, medical gas, or building automation controls, to support the employer's petition filing.
Understand the DOL Prevailing Wage Step Before Your Interview
For H-1B or PERM sponsorship, CHRISTUS must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying they'll pay the prevailing wage for your role and location. Knowing the wage tier for your target market helps you evaluate whether an offer is structured for a viable petition.

Find Service Tech at CHRISTUS Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CHRISTUS Health sponsor H-1B visas for Service Techs?
Yes, CHRISTUS Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Service Tech roles. Because these positions often involve specialized work on regulated healthcare equipment, they can meet USCIS specialty occupation standards when the role requires a specific technical background. Your petition's strength depends heavily on how your employer documents the degree requirement for the specific position.
How do I apply for Service Tech jobs at CHRISTUS Health?
You can apply directly through the CHRISTUS Health careers portal, where Service Tech roles are posted by facility and region. To streamline your search and filter by visa sponsorship eligibility, Migrate Mate aggregates CHRISTUS Service Tech openings in one place so you can identify relevant roles without manually combing through each regional job board.
Which visa types are commonly used for Service Tech roles at CHRISTUS Health?
CHRISTUS Health has used both H-1B visas and employment-based immigrant visas, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories, for technical staff. Service Techs in healthcare facilities typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers. The right pathway depends on your qualifications, your country of birth, and whether CHRISTUS initiates PERM labor certification for your specific role.
What qualifications or experience does CHRISTUS Health expect for Service Tech roles?
CHRISTUS Health generally looks for candidates with hands-on experience maintaining or repairing systems common in healthcare facilities, such as biomedical equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, or building automation. Relevant certifications strengthen your application significantly. Because USCIS scrutinizes whether Service Tech roles meet specialty occupation standards, a background that clearly ties to a specific technical discipline gives your sponsorship case more footing.
How do I approach the timeline for H-1B sponsorship at CHRISTUS Health?
H-1B sponsorship follows a fixed federal calendar. USCIS opens registration in March for an April lottery, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. If you're on OPT, align your application timing so an offer is in place before your work authorization expires. CHRISTUS's HR teams in larger markets are experienced with this cycle, so raising the timeline early in your offer conversation is reasonable.
