Verify Your Clinical Credentials Before Applying
HonorHealth's clinical roles require state-recognized credentials like the CMA (AAMA) or RMA. Confirm your certification is valid in Arizona before submitting applications, since credential gaps are a common reason offers stall before sponsorship conversations begin.
Target HonorHealth's Outpatient Clinic Openings
HonorHealth operates a large outpatient network across Scottsdale and Phoenix where Clinical Medical Assistant demand is consistent. These high-volume locations tend to post openings more frequently than hospital units and are worth monitoring separately from inpatient postings.
Find These Roles Faster Using Migrate Mate
Tracking which HonorHealth openings are open to visa sponsorship takes time. Use Migrate Mate to filter Clinical Medical Assistant listings at HonorHealth by visa type so you apply only to roles where sponsorship is actively on the table.
Ask About Sponsorship Before Accepting Any Offer
HonorHealth's recruiting process moves quickly once a match is identified. Before signing an offer letter, confirm in writing which visa pathway they intend to file under, since H-1B, TN, and PERM carry different employer cost structures and processing timelines.
Understand How OPT Timing Affects Your Application Window
If you're on F-1 OPT, the 60-day grace period after employment ends is tight. Apply to HonorHealth openings early enough that onboarding and any USCIS filings can be completed before your authorized work period lapses.
Get Your PERM Documentation in Order Early
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways, HonorHealth's HR team will need verified employment history, educational transcripts, and a credential evaluation from a recognized body. Assembling these documents before the DOL PERM process begins prevents delays that can stretch the timeline by months.

Find Clinical Medical Assistant at HonorHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does HonorHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Medical Assistants?
HonorHealth has sponsored H-1B visas for clinical support roles including Clinical Medical Assistants. H-1B eligibility for this role requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, which typically means it demands at minimum a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field. Not every Clinical Medical Assistant posting will meet that threshold, so confirm the specific role's requirements directly with HonorHealth's HR team before applying.
Which visa types are commonly used for Clinical Medical Assistant roles at HonorHealth?
HonorHealth has sponsored candidates through H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Card pathways for clinical roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations. EB-2 and EB-3 are longer-term permanent residence pathways that HonorHealth initiates through the DOL PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does HonorHealth expect for Clinical Medical Assistant roles?
Most Clinical Medical Assistant positions at HonorHealth require a formal medical assistant diploma or degree from an accredited program, along with a nationally recognized certification such as the CMA (AAMA) or RMA. Arizona-specific requirements, including current CPR certification, are standard. Candidates with prior experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings, particularly in multi-specialty clinics, are generally more competitive for HonorHealth's network of outpatient locations.
How do I apply for Clinical Medical Assistant jobs at HonorHealth?
You can browse and apply for Clinical Medical Assistant roles at HonorHealth through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify openings that match your immigration status. Once you've identified a relevant role, applications go through HonorHealth's careers portal. Having your credentials, certifications, and authorization documentation ready before you apply speeds up the process considerably, since HonorHealth's clinical hiring moves quickly.
How do I plan my timeline if HonorHealth is filing an H-1B for me?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed once per year, with USCIS opening registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're selected in the lottery, your employer has several months to file the full petition. Factor in that onboarding at HonorHealth cannot begin until USCIS approves the petition. If you need to start sooner, ask whether the role qualifies for cap-exempt filing or whether a bridging status like OPT STEM extension could cover the gap.
