Align your credentials to USCIS specialty occupation standards
Professor roles require a directly related degree for H-1B eligibility. Make sure your transcripts, foreign degree evaluations, and any credential equivalency letters explicitly connect your field of study to the specific discipline you'll be teaching at Keiser.
Target campuses with active faculty searches
Keiser University operates more than 20 campus locations, and hiring is decentralized by campus and program. Focus your applications on locations advertising openings in your discipline rather than submitting a general expression of interest to the system.
Find sponsoring Professor roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Professor openings at Keiser University by visa type, so you're only reviewing roles where sponsorship is explicitly on the table and not spending time on positions that won't move forward for international candidates.
Clarify the LCA wage level before accepting an offer
DOL Labor Condition Applications tie your visa to a specific wage level at the worksite location. For Professor roles, confirm whether Keiser files at Level I or II, since that affects your offered salary's compliance and can delay USCIS adjudication if mismatched.
Prepare for a PERM timeline if pursuing permanent residence
Keiser has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for academic staff, but PERM requires a full DOL-supervised recruitment process that can take a year or more. Raise the green card pathway early in negotiations so both sides can plan accordingly.
Confirm TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Certain Professor and lecturer roles qualify under the TN visa category for Canadian and Mexican nationals without a lottery or lengthy petition. Verify that your specific teaching discipline and Keiser's job description match the TN qualifying criteria before your offer letter is finalized.

Find Professor at Keiser University JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Keiser University sponsor H-1B visas for Professors?
Yes, Keiser University sponsors H-1B visas for Professor roles. Because H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, your degree field needs to directly correspond to the subject you'll be teaching. Keiser's HR team manages the petition process, but you'll want to confirm sponsorship intent in writing before accepting any offer.
How do I apply for Professor jobs at Keiser University?
Applications go through Keiser University's careers portal, where postings are listed by campus and discipline. You can also browse Professor openings that include visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can identify relevant positions faster. Tailor your application to the specific program and campus, since hiring decisions are made at the campus level.
Which visa types does Keiser University use for Professor roles?
Keiser University sponsors H-1B visas for most international Professor hires and has supported EB-2 and EB-3 green card filings for longer-term faculty. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status depending on the discipline. Candidates already on F-1 OPT or CPT can also work in these roles during their authorized period before transitioning to employer-sponsored status.
What qualifications does Keiser University expect for Professor positions?
Most Professor roles at Keiser require at minimum a master's degree in the relevant field, with many positions preferring or requiring a doctorate. Practical industry experience is weighted heavily in professional program areas like business, nursing, and technology. Foreign degrees need to be evaluated by a NACES-approved credential evaluation service to confirm U.S. equivalency before an H-1B petition can be filed.
How do I plan the timeline from job offer to starting work at Keiser University?
For H-1B, USCIS requires the petition to be filed before your start date, and cap-subject H-1B petitions are only available from October 1 each year following the April lottery. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Keiser can file a transfer petition and you can begin work once USCIS receives it. Budget at least three to six months from offer to authorization if you're starting from outside the U.S.
