How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Mevion Medical Systems Visa Sponsorship USA
Target Technical and Engineering Roles
Mevion's work in proton therapy hardware and software means most sponsored positions sit in engineering, medical physics, and R&D. Focus your search on roles that directly support the design or maintenance of their compact proton therapy systems.
Align Your Background With Medical Devices
Mevion operates in a highly specialized corner of the medical device industry. Candidates with experience in radiation therapy, particle accelerator technology, or FDA-regulated manufacturing environments will be the strongest fit for sponsored roles.
Research Their Hiring Before Applying
Because Mevion sponsors selectively, it pays to understand which departments are actively hiring before you reach out. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and identify open roles at Mevion with confidence.
Prepare for a Technical Interview Process
Mevion builds complex oncology systems, so expect a rigorous technical screening. Brush up on relevant engineering principles, quality systems in medical device manufacturing, and any regulatory frameworks like ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR Part 820 that apply to your discipline.
Position Yourself as a Long-Term Hire
Green Card sponsorship represents a significant employer investment. Emphasize your commitment to staying in the role for multiple years and your specialized skills that are hard to source domestically, both factors that make sponsorship a practical decision for Mevion.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Mevion Medical Systems sponsor H-1B visas?
Mevion Medical Systems' documented sponsorship activity has focused on permanent residence pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, rather than H-1B temporary work visas. If you're currently on an H-1B and seeking a transfer, it's worth discussing your status directly with Mevion's HR team, as sponsorship decisions can vary by role and business need.
What visa types does Mevion Medical Systems sponsor?
Mevion Medical Systems sponsors employment-based Green Cards, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. EB-2 is typically reserved for roles requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Both pathways involve PERM labor certification before the Green Card petition is filed.
Which departments or roles at Mevion Medical Systems are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Given Mevion's focus on proton therapy system development, sponsored roles are most commonly found in mechanical and electrical engineering, software development, medical physics, and field service engineering. Positions that require specialized technical expertise, particularly in particle accelerator design or FDA-regulated manufacturing, are the strongest candidates for sponsorship consideration.
What does the Green Card sponsorship timeline look like at Mevion Medical Systems?
Employer-sponsored Green Cards through EB-2 or EB-3 typically begin with PERM labor certification, which can take six months to over a year. After an approved I-140 petition, wait times depend heavily on your country of birth and the State Department's visa bulletin. For Indian and Chinese nationals, priority date backlogs can extend the total timeline significantly beyond initial approval.
How do I find and apply for visa-sponsored jobs at Mevion Medical Systems?
The most reliable approach is to search for Mevion Medical Systems directly on Migrate Mate, which tracks verified sponsorship history so you can confirm the company's track record before applying. From there, review open roles that match your technical background, tailor your application to highlight specialized skills in medical devices or proton therapy, and be prepared to discuss your visa situation early in the process.
