Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Registered Nurse Jobs at Northern Arizona Healthcare Jobs
Obtain NCLEX and Arizona State Licensure Early
Northern Arizona Healthcare requires active RN licensure before any visa petition can move forward. Start your NCLEX preparation and Arizona State Board of Nursing application well ahead of your target start date to avoid delays.
Target Open Roles by Clinical Specialty
Northern Arizona Healthcare consistently hires across acute care and specialty nursing units. Search by department rather than job title alone so you match your clinical background to the specific unit's patient population and shift requirements.
Understand the H-1B Cap Timeline for Hospital Roles
Northern Arizona Healthcare is a nonprofit hospital, but H-1B cap-exemption status depends on specific affiliations. Clarify this with HR early. If cap-subject, registrations open in March for an October 1 start, so plan your application timeline accordingly.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open RN Roles Actively Sponsoring
Search Migrate Mate to filter Northern Arizona Healthcare Registered Nurse listings by visa type. This surfaces roles currently open to sponsored candidates so you apply only where your immigration status is already supported by the employer.
Prepare Credential Evaluation Documents Before the Offer Stage
If your nursing degree is from outside the United States, have a NACES-approved credential evaluation completed before you receive an offer. Northern Arizona Healthcare and USCIS both require this for H-1B specialty occupation filings.

Find Registered Nurse at Northern Arizona Healthcare JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Northern Arizona Healthcare sponsor H-1B visas for Registered Nurses?
Yes, Northern Arizona Healthcare has sponsored H-1B visas for Registered Nurses. Because it operates as a nonprofit regional health system, its cap-exemption status is worth confirming directly with the HR or recruitment team before you apply. Cap-exempt status would allow filing outside the standard April lottery window, which is a meaningful advantage for international nurses on a time-sensitive work authorization.
How do I apply for Registered Nurse jobs at Northern Arizona Healthcare?
You can search open Registered Nurse positions through the Northern Arizona Healthcare careers portal or browse visa-sponsored listings on Migrate Mate. When applying, specify your visa type and target start date in your application materials. Northern Arizona Healthcare's nursing recruitment team typically reviews clinical background, active Arizona RN licensure, and specialty unit experience as the primary screening criteria.
Which visa types are commonly used for Registered Nurse roles at Northern Arizona Healthcare?
Northern Arizona Healthcare has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas for Registered Nurse roles. TN is available only to Canadian and Mexican citizens and does not require a lottery. H-1B is the most common path for nurses from other countries. F-1 OPT and CPT are relevant for recent nursing graduates on a student visa completing clinical hours or early employment.
What qualifications and experience does Northern Arizona Healthcare expect for sponsored Registered Nurse positions?
Northern Arizona Healthcare expects candidates to hold an active Arizona RN license or demonstrate eligibility to obtain one, along with a nursing degree that can be verified by a NACES-approved credential evaluation if earned abroad. Most unit-level postings prefer at least one year of acute care or specialty experience relevant to the department. English language proficiency and NCLEX passage are baseline requirements regardless of visa type.
How do I estimate the timeline from job offer to starting work at Northern Arizona Healthcare on a sponsored visa?
Timeline depends heavily on visa category. TN processing can be completed at a port of entry in a single day for Canadian citizens, making it the fastest option. H-1B filings through the lottery mean a minimum wait until October 1 if selected in April. F-1 OPT authorization from USCIS takes up to 90 days, so apply as early as 120 days before your intended start date to avoid a gap in work authorization.
