Frame your PM credentials around hardware cycles
NVIDIA's Technical Project Manager roles often center on chip development, GPU architecture programs, or data center deployments. Tailor your resume to show experience managing hardware or firmware delivery timelines, not just software sprints.
Target NVIDIA's silicon and AI infrastructure teams
NVIDIA hires Technical Project Managers across distinct business units. Roles tied to GPU development, autonomous vehicles, or AI supercomputing infrastructure tend to have active sponsorship pipelines. Focus your applications on these product-driven teams, not corporate or support functions.
Get your PMP or Agile certifications documented early
NVIDIA frequently lists PMP certification or equivalent Agile credentials as requirements for Technical Project Manager roles. Have your credential verification letters and professional development transcripts ready before your first recruiter screen.
Understand the LCA timing before you negotiate
NVIDIA must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition reaches USCIS. The LCA certifies your wage meets prevailing levels for the role and location. Knowing this step exists means you can ask your recruiter where they are in the process without appearing uninformed.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Technical Project Manager roles at NVIDIA
Filtering for NVIDIA sponsorship-eligible openings manually across job boards is slow and unreliable. Use Migrate Mate to search Technical Project Manager positions at NVIDIA filtered by visa type, so you only apply to roles where sponsorship is actively offered.
Ask recruiters about cap-exempt filing options if you hold an H-1B elsewhere
If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, NVIDIA can file an H-1B transfer without waiting for the annual lottery. Confirm with the recruiter whether your current status qualifies you for this path and request an accelerated timeline if your 60-day grace period is a constraint.

Find Technical Project Manager at NVIDIA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does NVIDIA sponsor H-1B visas for Technical Project Managers?
Yes, NVIDIA sponsors H-1B visas for Technical Project Manager roles. NVIDIA participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery for new applicants and can also file H-1B transfers for candidates already on H-1B status with another employer, bypassing the lottery entirely. Technical Project Manager positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria due to their degree requirements in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
How do I apply for Technical Project Manager jobs at NVIDIA?
Apply directly through NVIDIA's careers portal, targeting roles that list visa sponsorship as available. Before applying, align your resume to NVIDIA's specific program management needs, such as hardware development cycles, GPU platform delivery, or AI infrastructure deployments. You can also browse current openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which surfaces NVIDIA Technical Project Manager roles where international candidates are actively considered.
Which visa types does NVIDIA commonly sponsor for Technical Project Manager roles?
NVIDIA sponsors H-1B visas for most international Technical Project Manager hires. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa as an alternative, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable status. For longer-term pathways, NVIDIA supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, typically initiated after an employee establishes tenure in the role. The right visa depends on your nationality, current status, and how far along you are in the process.
What qualifications does NVIDIA expect for Technical Project Manager roles?
NVIDIA's Technical Project Manager postings typically require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, plus several years of hands-on program or project management experience in hardware or semiconductor environments. PMP certification or equivalent Agile credentials are frequently listed as requirements. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across chip design, verification, or bring-up phases gives candidates a meaningful advantage over generalist project managers.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Technical Project Manager at NVIDIA?
For H-1B sponsorship, the standard timeline runs from the April lottery through an October 1 start date, meaning the process from offer to work authorization can span six months or more. USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication time to 15 business days after petition filing. E-3 applicants, who are Australian citizens, can move faster since there is no lottery and appointments at Australian consulates can often be secured within a few weeks.
