A leading, sustainability-focused engineering consultancy is growing its Northern California plumbing team and is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer to take on a high-impact role. What You’ll Do
- Lead plumbing and process piping design from concept through construction
- Perform fixture counts, system sizing, and technical calculations
- Produce and review construction documents and Revit models
- Coordinate closely with MEP, architectural, and ownership teams
- Support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits, field reports)
- Ensure QA/QC standards are met across deliverables
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth
- Support business development efforts as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of plumbing design experience (consulting or related)
- PE license or CPD certification
- Strong Revit/BIM proficiency
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, manufacturing, or process projects
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with teams and clients
- Based in California within commuting distance of an office (2 days/week in-office)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical gas or process piping experience
- LEED or other sustainability credentials
- Experience with water treatment systems or heat pump water heaters
- Exposure to fire protection systems
- Project management or team leadership experience
