Frame credentials around program delivery outcomes
Resource Innovations runs utility-funded programs with strict performance milestones. Highlight project scope, budget oversight, and measurable deliverables in your resume rather than listing responsibilities. Consulting clients expect evidence of outcomes, not just process familiarity.
Target roles with active client programs
Program Manager openings tied to active utility contracts move faster through hiring and sponsorship decisions. Look for postings that reference specific program types like demand-side management or energy efficiency, since those reflect funded work already underway.
Search open Program Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. Use it to surface active Program Manager openings at Resource Innovations without sifting through roles that don't support sponsorship, saving you time during a tight OPT or grace period window.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Resource Innovations sponsors multiple visa types, so confirming which category applies to your situation before an offer is extended prevents delays. H-1B requires employer-initiated petitions; TN requires a qualifying USMCA profession. Knowing which path fits your background lets you align expectations early.
Prepare PERM documentation while still in the offer phase
If permanent residence through EB-2 or EB-3 is your goal, ask HR about their standard PERM timeline during negotiations. Gathering degree transcripts, foreign credential evaluations, and employment history records before the process formally opens can shave weeks off DOL's labor market test preparation.
Account for OPT STEM extension eligibility carefully
Program Manager roles at a consulting firm can qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension if your degree is in a qualifying field and the employer is enrolled in E-Verify. Confirm both conditions with HR before your initial OPT expires, since the extension application must be filed before that date.

Find Program Manager at Resource Innovations JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Resource Innovations sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Resource Innovations sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. Program management in the consulting and professional services sector typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, given the analytical, technical, and client-facing complexity of the work. If you're currently on OPT or another nonimmigrant status, confirming sponsorship intent early in the interview process helps you plan around the H-1B cap and lottery cycle.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Resource Innovations?
You can search for open Program Manager positions directly on Resource Innovations' careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. When applying, tailor your application to the program domain listed in the posting, whether that's energy efficiency, utility consulting, or government programs, since Resource Innovations hires across distinct service lines that each have different client requirements.
Which visa types does Resource Innovations commonly use for Program Manager roles?
Resource Innovations has sponsored a range of visa categories for this function, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN, J-1, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, educational background, and current status. Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible for the TN visa, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely and can be a faster path for qualified candidates.
What qualifications does Resource Innovations expect for Program Manager positions?
Most Program Manager roles at Resource Innovations require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, engineering, public policy, or business, along with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects. Consulting environments place a premium on client communication, budget management, and the ability to manage external contractors. Familiarity with utility programs, government contracts, or energy efficiency frameworks strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How long does the sponsorship and visa filing process take for this role?
Timelines vary by visa type. H-1B standard processing with USCIS takes roughly three to five months after filing, while premium processing can reduce that to 15 business days. PERM labor certification for Green Card sponsorship through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Aligning your current status expiration date with these timelines is critical, so raise the question with your HR contact as soon as you receive an offer.
