INTRODUCTION
Samba is a media intelligence company. We know what the world is watching, reading, and thinking about — in real time, at scale, across every screen. Our data exists with the consent of over a billion people, organized into the most complete picture of consumer attention ever built. The biggest brands in the world use that picture to make smarter decisions. We think it’s the most interesting data asset on the planet, because it’s the most culturally relevant.
We are looking for a high-energy, ambitious individual with a passion for media and advertising to join our growing revenue organization. As an Associate Account Executive (AAE), you are the tip of the spear in identifying key brand and agency targets, driving outbound engagement, and booking strategic meetings that fuel our growth.
This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is hungry to learn, resilient in the face of rejection, and is seeking a future in sales, while being provided with the right building block to achieve success.
At Samba, we don't believe in silos. You will be embedded in a Sales Pod, working alongside a Team Lead and Senior Account Executives. Your growth is accelerated through our unique enablement structure.
- Direct Sales Immersion (Months 1–6): During your first six months, you will receive intensive direct sales experience by shadowing every meeting generated through your outreach. You will observe elite discovery and pitching firsthand, participate in post-call debriefs, and manage CRM hygiene to master the mechanics of high-stakes deal-making.
- Tech-Driven Market Mastery: You will leverage Samba's best-in-class technology stack including Gong, Salesforce, and our proprietary AI insights tools to master our go-to-market strategy. By analyzing sales meetings and data-driven engagement patterns, you will rapidly develop the business acumen needed to navigate the complex ad-tech landscape.
- Direct Mentorship: You will receive direct coaching from Senior AEs and structured training from our Sales Enablement team to prepare you for your own Pitch Certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect & Qualify: Identify and scale revenue-generating relationships with advertisers and agencies within your assigned territory or vertical.
- Outbound Execution: Persuasively communicate Samba's unique value proposition via email, phone, and social sequences to secure high-level meetings.
- Strategic Support: Report to a Samba Sales Leader, helping maintain and grow an existing book of business while hunting for new opportunities.
- Thought Partnership: Act as a consultant for industry-leading agencies as they evolve their TV and video strategies through data.
- Collaborate: Work with Programmatic teams to build proposals that exceed client marketing objectives.
- Represent: Help develop local marketing initiatives and represent Samba at industry events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; candidates from top-tier universities with competitive GPAs and notable accomplishments are strongly preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in an advertising agency, sales and trading, technology, or an equivalent professional or academic background; relevant internships count.
- Demonstrated track record of performing against goals and winning in competitive environments.
- Ability to deconstruct complex business challenges using structured, logic-based reasoning to develop clear, data-informed solutions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity; applies first-principles thinking to craft proposals that resonate with both marketing and finance stakeholders.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills; adept at building trusted partnerships at all levels of client organizations.
- Knowledge of the TV, online, and mobile advertising ecosystem — including data, targeting, and measurement — is a strong plus.
- Existing relationships with media buying decision-makers preferred.
AI Fluency
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to streamline workflows, including interpreting model-generated recommendations, stress-testing assumptions, and translating insights into client-facing strategy.
- Familiarity with how AI and ML are reshaping audience measurement, targeting, and attribution in the TV and streaming advertising landscape is a strong plus.
- Desire to learn how to utilize AI-powered tools for sales productivity including CRM intelligence, proposal generation, audience insights, and campaign optimization.

Frame Your BD Experience Around Data Partnerships
Samba TV's Business Development roles center on content measurement and audience data deals, not traditional SaaS sales. Tailor your resume to highlight partnerships with media companies, ad tech platforms, or streaming services before you apply.
Verify Your Visa Category Before Applying
Samba TV sponsors E-3, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for Business Development roles. Confirm which category fits your nationality and degree before outreach so you can address sponsorship directly and confidently in early conversations with their recruiting team.
Time F-1 OPT Applications Around Offer Timelines
If you're relying on F-1 OPT, your DSO must authorize work at least 10 days before your start date. Factor in that USCIS EAD processing can take several weeks, and build that into your negotiated start date with Samba TV.
Target Samba TV's Programmatic and CTV Partnership Teams
Samba TV's open Business Development roles frequently sit at the intersection of connected TV and programmatic advertising. Positioning yourself as someone who understands CTV measurement or ACR data sets makes you a stronger candidate for these specific openings.
Prepare a Specialty Occupation Narrative for E-3 Filings
For an E-3 petition, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Have documentation ready that ties your degree directly to your BD responsibilities.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Samba TV BD Openings
Business Development roles at Samba TV are posted across multiple channels but not always flagged for visa sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Samba TV openings that confirm E-3, OPT, or TN eligibility before you invest time in the application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Samba TV sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Samba TV's confirmed sponsorship for Business Development roles covers E-3, F-1 OPT, and TN visas. H-1B visa sponsorship is not listed among their supported visa types for this function. If you currently hold H-1B status through a prior employer, discuss transferability with Samba TV's HR team, as a cap-exempt transfer may still be possible depending on your situation.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Samba TV?
Applications go through Samba TV's careers page, where roles are listed by function and location. Before applying, confirm the specific role lists visa sponsorship, since not every posting will. You can also use Migrate Mate to browse Samba TV's Business Development openings filtered by the visa types they support, which saves time if sponsorship is a requirement for you.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Development roles at Samba TV?
Samba TV sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens, F-1 OPT for recent international graduates already in the U.S., and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Each has different documentation requirements and timelines, so it's worth identifying your category early and confirming the role qualifies under that visa's specialty occupation standard.
What qualifications does Samba TV expect for Business Development roles?
Samba TV's Business Development hiring tends to favor candidates with experience in media, ad tech, or streaming partnerships rather than general sales backgrounds. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is standard, and familiarity with programmatic advertising, connected TV ecosystems, or data licensing deals is a practical differentiator for most of their open roles.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Business Development role at Samba TV?
Timeline depends on your visa type. E-3 consular processing in Australia typically takes two to four weeks once your employer has a certified LCA from the DOL. F-1 OPT EAD cards can take up to 90 days, so applications should be filed as early as 90 days before your program end date. TN status for Canadians can often be obtained at the port of entry on the day of travel.
