Tailor your resume to facilities operations
SBM's Program Assistant roles sit inside a facilities management and outsourcing environment. Highlight experience coordinating vendor schedules, tracking work orders, or supporting operations teams, not general administrative tasks.
Start your OPT application early
USCIS recommends filing your OPT application up to 90 days before your program end date. If you're targeting a start date that aligns with SBM's hiring cycle, late paperwork can cost you the offer.
Search open roles through Migrate Mate
SBM regularly posts Program Assistant openings across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for SBM roles that have active sponsorship history, so you're not applying to positions unlikely to support your visa status.
Ask about LCA filing scope during interviews
SBM operates sites nationally, and your work location affects the Labor Condition Application the employer files with DOL. Confirm which worksite the role is tied to before your offer is finalized to avoid delays in the H-1B process.
Verify your I-9 eligibility documents in advance
SBM participates in E-Verify, so your employment authorization documents must be current and consistent. Discrepancies between your I-94 record and your visa documents can pause onboarding even after you've accepted an offer.
Align your program end date with SBM's hiring timeline
Business support employers like SBM hire Program Assistants on a rolling basis rather than fixed seasonal cycles. Reach out during periods when facilities contracts are expanding, typically Q1 and Q3, to maximize your chances of landing a sponsored offer.

Find Program Assistant at SBM Management Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does SBM Management Services sponsor H-1B visas for Program Assistants?
Yes, SBM Management Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Program Assistant roles. Because the H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, your application is strongest when the role involves project coordination, data tracking, or operational analysis tied to a relevant bachelor's degree. Confirm the specific responsibilities of the open role before applying to assess your eligibility.
How do I apply for Program Assistant jobs at SBM Management Services?
You can find Program Assistant openings at SBM Management Services through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with verified sponsorship history so you can prioritize positions aligned with your visa status. When you apply, highlight experience in facilities coordination, vendor management, or operations support, since those are the competencies SBM consistently looks for in this function.
Which visa types does SBM Management Services commonly use for Program Assistant roles?
SBM Management Services has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Program Assistant positions. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while the TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. H-1B sponsorship is available for longer-term employment once you've established yourself in the role.
What qualifications does SBM Management Services expect for Program Assistant roles?
SBM typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. Practical experience supporting program coordination, scheduling, reporting, or facilities operations strengthens your application. For visa-sponsored roles, your degree field should map directly to the job duties, since that alignment matters for both H-1B specialty occupation classification and OPT eligibility.
How do I plan my timeline when targeting a sponsored Program Assistant role at SBM?
If you're on F-1 OPT, USCIS advises filing your EAD application up to 90 days before your program end date, so coordinate your job search accordingly. For H-1B sponsorship, keep in mind that cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year with an October 1 start date. Starting conversations with SBM recruiters well before those deadlines gives both sides time to complete the Labor Condition Application process through DOL.
