Tailor Your Resume to Contract Operations
SBM Management Services operates through facility service contracts, so your resume should highlight experience managing vendor relationships, service-level agreements, or janitorial and maintenance teams. Generic operations management experience reads poorly against candidates who speak SBM's language.
Verify Active LCA Filings Before Applying
SBM's H-1B sponsorship activity for operations roles can appear in DOL's OFLC disclosure data. Search for Labor Condition Applications filed under operations management job codes to confirm the role you're targeting has a precedent at your specific location or region.
Time Your OPT Application Around SBM's Hiring Cycles
SBM posts Assistant Operations Manager openings throughout the year, often tied to contract renewals or client expansions. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply at least 90 days before your EAD expires so your employer has enough runway to file H-1B paperwork before the April 1 registration window.
Clarify Sponsorship Intent in Your First Interview
SBM's recruiting teams handle high-volume hiring across dozens of service contracts. Raise your visa sponsorship requirement early in the process rather than waiting for an offer, so the conversation reaches HR and legal before the position is filled by a candidate who doesn't require filing.
Build Your Job Search Around Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Assistant Operations Manager openings at SBM Management Services by visa type. This saves you from applying to postings where sponsorship isn't confirmed, and surfaces roles where SBM has actively listed H-1B or OPT-eligible positions.
Prepare Documentation for a Multi-Site Operations Role
Many SBM Assistant Operations Manager positions cover multiple client sites. When USCIS reviews your H-1B petition, having documentation that reflects your specialty occupation duties across those sites, such as detailed job description letters from SBM's HR, strengthens the petition against a Request for Evidence.

Find Assistant Operations Manager at SBM Management Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does SBM Management Services sponsor H-1B visas for Assistant Operations Managers?
Yes, SBM Management Services has sponsored H-1B visas for operations management roles. Because H-1B sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, your application will be stronger if the role involves functions like contract management, workforce analytics, or operational compliance rather than primarily supervisory tasks. Confirm the specific role's eligibility with SBM's HR team before accepting an offer.
How do I apply for Assistant Operations Manager jobs at SBM Management Services?
Applications go through SBM Management Services' careers portal, where openings are listed by region and service contract type. You can also find visa-sponsorship-confirmed postings on Migrate Mate, which filters SBM's listings by work authorization type. When applying, tailor your cover letter to the specific facility service environment listed in the posting, whether that's corporate campuses, healthcare facilities, or educational institutions.
Which visa types does SBM Management Services commonly use for Assistant Operations Manager roles?
SBM has sponsored H-1B visas for operations management hires and has also employed candidates on F-1 OPT and CPT for qualifying roles. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in management occupations. If you're transitioning from OPT to H-1B, SBM will need to register you in the USCIS H-1B lottery in March for an October 1 start date.
What qualifications does SBM Management Services expect for Assistant Operations Manager candidates?
SBM typically looks for candidates with experience in facilities management, building services, or operational oversight within a contract services environment. A bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field is generally expected for sponsored roles, since USCIS requires the position to meet specialty occupation standards. Hands-on experience managing subcontractors, safety compliance programs, or service quality metrics strengthens both your candidacy and any future H-1B petition.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take if SBM Management Services offers me a role?
The standard H-1B process runs from March lottery registration through an October 1 start date, meaning you need your offer in place well before the April 1 petition filing deadline. SBM must first file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which typically takes seven business days. If you're already in the U.S. on OPT with a timely filed extension, you can continue working during the gap under cap-gap protection.
