Frame your credentials around HR technology sales
TriNet sells HR outsourcing and PEO services, so your resume should connect business development experience directly to SaaS, HR tech, or benefits administration. Vague sales backgrounds get filtered out early in their hiring process.
Target TriNet's mid-market and SMB verticals
TriNet's Business Development roles typically focus on small and mid-sized business clients. Tailor your outreach and application materials to show familiarity with SMB sales cycles, not enterprise deals or large-account management.
Confirm H-1B sponsorship willingness before final interviews
TriNet has sponsored H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals, but sponsorship decisions are role-specific and budget-dependent. Raise the topic after an initial offer signal, not in a first screening call.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship history
TriNet posts Business Development openings across multiple locations and verticals. Use Migrate Mate to surface only the roles where sponsorship has been confirmed, so you're not applying blindly to positions that may not support H-1B filing.
Understand TriNet's H-1B filing window and your start date
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. If TriNet extends an offer outside that window, confirm whether they'll file for the next cycle or explore cap-exempt options if you hold a qualifying status.
Prepare a specialty occupation justification for your specific role
USCIS scrutinizes business development H-1B petitions closely. Work with TriNet's immigration team to document how your role requires a specific bachelor's degree in a field like business administration, marketing, or economics, not just general professional experience.

Find Business Development Professional at TriNet JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TriNet sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals?
Yes, TriNet has sponsored H-1B visas for Business Development Professionals. Sponsorship is not automatic with every offer, as decisions depend on the specific role, hiring budget, and timing relative to the H-1B cap season. Raising the topic professionally after demonstrating fit during the interview process gives you the best outcome.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Development Professional roles at TriNet?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for Business Development Professionals at TriNet. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Candidates already holding H-1B status through a prior employer may be able to transfer that status to TriNet.
How do I apply for Business Development Professional jobs at TriNet?
Applications go through TriNet's careers portal, where roles are listed by region and business unit. Browse open Business Development Professional positions on Migrate Mate to identify roles with a sponsorship history before applying. Tailor your resume to TriNet's PEO and HR outsourcing focus, and reference specific client segments like SMBs or mid-market companies where you have experience.
What qualifications does TriNet expect for Business Development Professional roles?
TriNet typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline, combined with direct B2B sales experience. Familiarity with HR technology, benefits administration, or PEO services is a meaningful differentiator. Because H-1B eligibility depends on specialty occupation status, a degree that directly aligns with the job duties strengthens both your application and your visa petition.
How do I plan my timeline if TriNet offers me a Business Development role requiring H-1B sponsorship?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date. If TriNet extends an offer outside that window, clarify whether they'll hold the role for the next filing cycle. USCIS registration opens in March each year. Starting the conversation with TriNet's HR and immigration team early gives you the clearest picture of realistic start dates.
