Frame your HR tech sales experience clearly
TriNet sells HR outsourcing and PEO services, so highlight any SaaS or HR technology sales background in your resume. Quantify deal cycles, quota attainment, and SMB or mid-market segment experience to match the roles they hire for.
Target roles with defined territory ownership
TriNet structures its Sales org around geographic territories and vertical markets. Applying to roles that align with your current location or a market you can relocate to improves fit and signals you've researched how their teams are structured.
Confirm H-1B sponsorship before your final interview
Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific role is approved for H-1B sponsorship during the offer stage, not after signing. TriNet's HR function handles sponsorship centrally, so the answer can differ across business units.
Understand LCA timelines before you negotiate a start date
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. Build at least two to three weeks of LCA processing into your expected start date when negotiating your offer with TriNet.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Sales roles at TriNet
Not every TriNet Sales opening is visible across general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified sponsorship-eligible Sales roles at TriNet specifically, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship has been confirmed rather than assumed.
Get your specialty occupation documentation ready early
USCIS requires Sales roles to qualify as specialty occupations for H-1B eligibility. Prepare transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations if your credential is from outside the U.S., and a strong offer letter that ties your role to a specific degree field.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TriNet sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, TriNet has sponsored H-1B visas for workers in Sales functions. Sponsorship availability can vary by role, seniority level, and business unit, so confirm directly with the recruiter during the hiring process. TriNet's HR and legal teams handle sponsorship centrally, which generally means a consistent internal process once a role is approved.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at TriNet?
You can apply through TriNet's careers site or find sponsorship-eligible Sales openings through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where H-1B sponsorship has been confirmed. Tailor your application to TriNet's PEO and HR outsourcing business, emphasizing SMB or mid-market sales experience, consultative selling skills, and familiarity with HR technology platforms.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales roles at TriNet?
H-1B is the primary work visa used for Sales professionals at TriNet. For roles to qualify, USCIS requires the position to meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning it must typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. E-3 visas are also an option for Australian citizens in qualifying Sales roles.
What qualifications does TriNet expect for Sales positions?
TriNet Sales roles generally require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, along with demonstrated B2B sales experience. Familiarity with HR services, payroll platforms, or benefits administration strengthens your candidacy significantly. For H-1B eligibility, your degree must align with the specific job duties outlined in the offer letter, so precision in how your role is defined matters.
How do I time my H-1B application when starting a Sales role at TriNet?
H-1B petitions for cap-subject workers can only be filed for an October 1 start date, following a March lottery registration. If you're changing status from F-1 OPT, cap-gap protection may cover you through September 30. Work with TriNet's immigration counsel early, as the DOL Labor Condition Application must be certified before USCIS accepts the petition, adding time to the overall process.
