Frame your degree around specialty occupation criteria
Uline's Sales roles often require a business, marketing, or related degree to qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B. Before applying, confirm your degree field maps directly to the sales function you're targeting, not just business generally.
Target territory-based roles over inside sales
Uline structures much of its Sales hiring around geographic territory management. These roles carry clearer degree requirements and defined responsibilities, which strengthens the specialty occupation argument that employers need when filing an H-1B petition with USCIS.
Search Uline Sales openings on Migrate Mate
Uline posts Sales positions across multiple regions at different times of year. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type and location so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring conversation.
Ask about LCA filing timing during offer discussions
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. If you're on OPT, confirm whether the LCA can be certified before your OPT end date to avoid a gap in your work authorization.
Align your resume to Uline's account management language
Uline Sales interviews focus on territory growth, client retention, and distribution metrics. Recruiters looking at international candidates still need to see clear commercial results. Quantify pipeline contribution and account volume in terms that translate directly to wholesale distribution outcomes.
Clarify CPT and OPT authorization with your DSO early
If you're on F-1 status, practical training authorization for a Sales internship or full-time role must be approved before your start date. Your Designated School Official processes CPT and OPT paperwork, not USCIS, so initiate that conversation at least 90 days out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Uline sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Uline has sponsored H-1B visas for Sales positions. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which typically means the job requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Territory management and account executive roles at Uline generally meet that threshold.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Uline?
You can browse open Sales positions at Uline directly on their careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter for Uline roles that include visa sponsorship. Focus your application on territory-based or account management positions, as those are where Uline concentrates its Sales hiring. Tailor your resume to distribution and wholesale metrics before submitting.
Which visa types does Uline commonly sponsor for Sales positions?
Uline has sponsored H-1B visas and supported F-1 OPT and CPT candidates for Sales roles. The company also has experience with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. For longer-term pathways, Uline has filed EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions through the PERM labor certification process administered by the DOL.
What qualifications does Uline expect for Sales candidates seeking sponsorship?
Uline typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with demonstrated sales results in a B2B or distribution environment. For visa sponsorship to be viable, your degree must align with the specific Sales function you're applying for. Relevant internship experience in wholesale or supply chain industries strengthens both your candidacy and the specialty occupation determination.
How do I manage my visa timeline when pursuing a Sales role at Uline?
If you're on OPT, H-1B cap registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. That means your OPT must cover you through at least October 1, or you'll need a STEM OPT extension to bridge the gap. Start conversations with Uline's recruiting team well before your authorization expires so there's enough lead time for the LCA and petition process.
