Frame Your Credentials Around Insurance Operations
USI's Operations roles typically require process coordination, client servicing, or compliance support within a brokerage environment. Tailor your resume to highlight insurance-adjacent experience, such as policy administration, carrier workflows, or risk data management, before submitting applications.
Target Regional Offices With Active Openings
USI operates across dozens of U.S. locations, and Operations hiring is decentralized by region. Search open roles by location to identify offices with active pipelines, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the hiring-manager level rather than centrally.
Clarify Your Visa Category Early in Interviews
USI has sponsored E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and J-1 candidates for Operations roles. Name your visa type clearly in early conversations so recruiters can route your file to HR teams familiar with that specific authorization pathway rather than defaulting to H-1B assumptions.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Verified Sponsorship Roles
Operations postings at insurance brokerages often don't flag sponsorship eligibility in the job description itself. Search Migrate Mate to filter USI Insurance Services roles by visa type and confirm which positions have a documented sponsorship track record before you apply.
Confirm LCA Timelines Before Accepting an Offer
For E-3 and H-1B pathways, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process the petition. Ask USI's HR team about their typical LCA turnaround so you can plan your start date around the required certification window.
Account for OPT Cap-Gap If You're Transitioning Visa Status
If you're on F-1 OPT and USI files an H-1B petition on your behalf, USCIS cap-gap rules extend your work authorization through September 30 if your OPT expires before the October 1 H-1B start date. Verify your I-94 expiration and OPT end date before your authorization lapses.

Find Operations at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
USI Insurance Services has a history of sponsoring work visas for Operations positions, though H-1B sponsorship is not guaranteed for every role or location. Because H-1B selection depends on the annual USCIS lottery with an 85,000-slot cap, many candidates in Operations pursue E-3, TN, or F-1 OPT pathways instead, which are not lottery-dependent and can be processed faster.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at USI Insurance Services?
You can apply directly through USI's careers portal or find verified sponsorship-eligible Operations listings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type. When applying, clearly state your work authorization status in your cover letter or application notes. USI's HR teams handle sponsorship assessments internally, so early transparency about your visa category speeds up the screening process.
Which visa types does USI Insurance Services commonly use for Operations positions?
USI has sponsored E-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for Operations roles. Australian citizens often pursue the E-3 pathway, which requires an employer-filed Labor Condition Application with the DOL and a consular interview, but carries no lottery and allows two-year renewable stays. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations may be eligible under the TN category.
What qualifications does USI Insurance Services expect for Operations roles?
Operations roles at USI typically involve insurance brokerage support, process coordination, compliance tracking, or client account management. Relevant experience in insurance policy administration, carrier platforms, or risk data systems strengthens your candidacy. For visa sponsorship under specialty occupation categories like H-1B or E-3, your degree field must relate directly to the specific Operations role you're applying for.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Operations role at USI Insurance Services?
Timelines vary by visa type. E-3 consular processing in Australia typically takes two to six weeks once the DOL-certified LCA is in hand. TN status for Canadians can be obtained at the border on the same day. F-1 OPT is pre-authorized before employment begins. For H-1B petitions, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months, with premium processing available for a faster adjudication window.
