Align Your Credentials to Insurance Accounting Standards
USI operates across commercial insurance, employee benefits, and risk management, so frame your resume around industry-relevant experience like premium accounting, loss reserves, or carrier reconciliations. A CPA or progress toward one strengthens your application considerably.
Target Regional Finance Hubs in Your Job Search
USI has Accountant openings spread across multiple U.S. offices rather than concentrated in one headquarters. Search by region and prioritize locations where USI has established insurance service centers, since those offices tend to carry the most active accounting headcount.
Browse Open Accountant Roles Through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter USI Insurance Services Accountant listings by the visa types they've sponsored. This saves time by surfacing only roles where sponsorship is a realistic outcome, rather than applying broadly and asking about status later.
Clarify Your Visa Type Early in Recruiter Conversations
USI has sponsored E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 candidates for accounting roles. Naming your specific status upfront helps recruiters route your application correctly and avoids late-stage surprises when HR assesses sponsorship feasibility.
Prepare Documentation That Supports an LCA Filing
For E-3 or TN candidates, your employer needs to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your visa is processed. Gather official degree transcripts, any professional license documentation, and a clear job description that maps your accounting duties to a specialty occupation.

Find Accountant at USI Insurance Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does USI Insurance Services sponsor H-1B visas for Accountants?
USI Insurance Services has not been identified as a consistent H-1B sponsor for Accountant roles. Their documented sponsorship activity for accounting positions covers E-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. If H-1B sponsorship is your goal, raise it directly with the recruiter early, but go in knowing the more supported pathways are E-3 and TN for eligible nationals.
How do I apply for Accountant jobs at USI Insurance Services?
Apply through USI's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which lists USI Accountant roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Before applying, tailor your resume to reflect insurance-specific accounting functions like premium billing, agency reconciliation, or financial close processes. Recruiters at USI typically screen for both technical accounting skills and familiarity with insurance operations, so surface that experience early in your application.
Which visa types are commonly used for Accountant roles at USI Insurance Services?
USI has sponsored Accountants on E-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and is well suited to accounting roles since it requires a specialty occupation degree. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA and covers accountant as a designated profession. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while J-1 typically applies to exchange program participants.
What qualifications does USI Insurance Services expect for Accountant roles?
USI Accountant roles generally require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. Practical experience with general ledger management, month-end close, or financial reporting is expected, and insurance industry exposure is a clear differentiator. Progress toward a CPA designation strengthens your profile. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree and job duties also need to satisfy the specialty occupation standard required by USCIS or the DOL.
How do I plan the timeline if USI Insurance Services agrees to sponsor my visa?
Timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and TN applications can move quickly since they don't require USCIS approval before consular processing, and the DOL Labor Condition Application typically takes seven to ten business days. F-1 OPT extensions and cap-gap rules have fixed USCIS processing windows. Build at least four to six weeks of lead time between offer acceptance and your target start date to allow for LCA filing, document preparation, and any consulate scheduling delays.
