Frame your degree for specialty occupation
Walker Consultants' consulting roles require a direct connection between your degree field and the work you'll perform. A civil engineering, urban planning, or business degree strengthens your H-1B petition far more than a general management credential.
Research Walker's active project portfolio
Walker specializes in parking, transportation, and infrastructure consulting. Targeting roles where your background aligns with an active project sector, like mobility planning or facility assessment, signals immediate value and makes your application easier to route internally.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Ask about sponsorship during the second interview round, not after an offer lands. Consulting firms route visa decisions through HR early, so confirming Walker has sponsored your visa type before final negotiations avoids delays in filing timelines.
Find Walker's open roles through Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and consulting industry on Migrate Mate to surface Walker Consultants' Professional Services Consultant openings alongside other firms with verified sponsorship histories, so you're applying where sponsorship is already confirmed.

Does Walker Consultants sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, Walker Consultants has sponsored H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants. The firm operates in specialized infrastructure and parking consulting, which supports the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires for H-1B approval. Your degree field should align directly with the consulting work you'll perform, such as engineering, urban planning, or a related technical discipline.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at Walker Consultants?
You can find and apply for Professional Services Consultant openings at Walker Consultants through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When you apply, tailor your materials to Walker's project focus areas, particularly parking, transportation, and infrastructure planning, rather than submitting a generic consulting resume.
Which visa types does Walker Consultants commonly use for Professional Services Consultant roles?
Walker Consultants has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for this role type. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 OPT is typically a starting point, with H-1B sponsorship following demonstrated performance on client-facing engagements.
What qualifications does Walker Consultants expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
Walker Consultants generally looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as civil engineering, architecture, transportation planning, or business, paired with demonstrable project experience. For visa sponsorship purposes, the degree-to-role alignment matters significantly since USCIS evaluates whether the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B standards.
How do I think about visa filing timelines when targeting Walker Consultants?
H-1B petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS opening registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, confirm whether your end date aligns with that cycle. For Green Card pathways, PERM labor certification with DOL typically runs 12 to 18 months, so raising the conversation with Walker's HR team well in advance of any status deadline is practical planning, not premature.
