Compliance Consultant Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance consultant in Oklahoma?
Most compliance consultant positions in Oklahoma require a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, law, or a related field, combined with experience in a regulated industry such as energy, banking, or healthcare. Oklahoma does not issue a state-specific compliance consultant license, but employers consistently prefer candidates who hold credentials such as the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Starting in an audit, regulatory affairs, or risk analyst role at an Oklahoma energy firm, regional bank, or hospital system is the most common path into the profession.
How much do compliance consultants make in Oklahoma?
Compliance consultants in Oklahoma earn a median of about $63,000 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $42,340 for the lowest 10% to over $105,360 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance consultants in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma compliance consultant roles are posted by InterBank, BOK Financial, and MidFirst Bank and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Oklahoma's energy sector, regional banking institutions, and large healthcare networks generate the most consistent demand for compliance professionals across the state.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most compliance consultant jobs?
Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Edmond are the Oklahoma cities with the most compliance consultant openings. Oklahoma City leads because it is home to major energy company headquarters, large regional banks, and the state's largest hospital systems, all of which require dedicated compliance functions, while Tulsa's refining and pipeline sector adds a significant second concentration of regulatory and safety compliance roles.
Are there remote compliance consultant jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, and more than many fields, since compliance work is largely analytical, document-driven, and conducted through systems that support remote access. About 38% of compliance consultant openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broad adoption across financial services and healthcare employers. Policy review, regulatory reporting, and training development are the functions most frequently offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a compliance consultant in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a compliance analyst or regulatory coordinator role at a large Oklahoma employer and building from there. ONEOK, BancFirst, and Integris Health each hire for entry-level compliance and audit support positions that do not require prior consulting experience. Candidates who move laterally from paralegal, internal audit, or risk operations roles are frequently considered. Earning the CCEP certification or completing a compliance certificate program through an Oklahoma State University or University of Oklahoma extension gives applicants a concrete credential that distinguishes them in early-career applications.
Where can I find and apply to compliance consultant jobs in Oklahoma?
You can find and apply to compliance consultant jobs in Oklahoma on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oklahoma openings across industries including energy, healthcare, and financial services. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target location, and apply directly through each listing.
