INTRODUCTION
The Compliance Investigations Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the Thomson Reuters global ethics and compliance investigations program, including oversight and coordination of the company's ethics hotline, case coordination, and case management. The Compliance Investigations Program Manager must be comfortable working cross-functionally throughout the organization and across geographies. This role will report to the Assistant General Counsel, Enterprise Compliance and will work closely with the global ethics and compliance team.
The role will assist in the development and administration of compliance investigations policies and procedures, will advise on and support development to the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies, will oversee the administration of the company's whistleblower hotline and software system, manage the coordination and timely completion of investigation cases across departments and internal stakeholders, and will lead select investigations while advising others on required investigation protocols and conduct. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting internal corporate investigations involving violations of corporate Codes of Business Conduct and Ethics including but not limited to fraud, theft, bribery/corruption, conflicts of interest, harassment and discrimination.
The individual will have strong analytical and writing skills and be responsible for preparing investigative reports, and should have working knowledge of the US Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other relevant global anti-corruption laws and corporate compliance best practices, and will have experience managing whistleblower software platforms.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this opportunity as Compliance Investigations Program Manager, you will:
- Conduct internal corporate investigations into allegations of compliance breaches or violations of law, regulations, or company policies.
- Manage the oversight and administration of the company's whistleblower ethics hotline, along with upgrades to and configuration of the software platform.
- Develop standardized, written investigation protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain a uniform triage procedure for whistleblower hotline case management and communication with business stakeholders and parties to investigations.
- Lead and conduct select investigations and prepare written investigation reports.
- Deliver investigation training and guidance as required throughout the organization.
- Work with information security and litigation teams to properly execute document collection and review.
- Consult with data privacy office to consider cross-border issues related to investigative process.
- Confer with compliance and employment legal to make recommendations for appropriate disciplinary action consistent with company policies and practices.
- Work with management to implement remedial measures or improve internal controls identified in the investigative process.
- Support and participate in legal and ethical risk assessments and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with Compliance stakeholders to advise on and coordinate updates to company policies, including the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and support related communications, training, and outreach programming.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
You're a fit for the role of Compliance Investigations Program Manager if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree, with a background in audit, accounting, paralegal studies, or law.
- Five or more years conducting internal corporate investigations.
- Experience advising senior level management.
- Proven ability to conduct, guide, or lead internal investigations of suspected violations of law or policy.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and draw reasonable conclusions, and communicate clearly.
- Excellent writing skills and demonstrated ability to use and apply artificial intelligence (AI) in research, writing, and workflow management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrable familiarity with the requirements of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), U.K. Bribery Act (UKBA), and other anti-corruption laws.
- Ability to work variable hours as may be required to support global business needs.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $119,700 USD - $222,300 USD.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
