Compliance Program Manager Jobs in Mississippi: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance program manager in Mississippi?
Most compliance program manager roles in Mississippi require a bachelor's degree in business, law, healthcare administration, or a related field, followed by several years in a compliance, audit, or regulatory affairs role. While Mississippi does not issue a state-specific compliance license, employers across the state strongly favor candidates holding the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) credential or a healthcare-specific designation like the Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC). Building experience within a regulated Mississippi industry, such as healthcare or financial services, is the most direct path to a program manager title.
How much do compliance program managers make in Mississippi?
Compliance program managers in Mississippi earn a median of about $67,450 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,040 for the lowest 10% to over $109,300 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance program managers in Mississippi?
Employers hiring compliance program managers in Mississippi right now include Milwaukee Tool, Wayne-Sanderson Farms, and HII, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Mississippi's concentration of healthcare networks, regional banks, and federal contractors means compliance hiring tends to be tied to organizations managing Medicaid, banking regulations, or defense contract requirements.
Which Mississippi cities have the most compliance program manager jobs?
Jackson, Flowood, and Byhalia account for the largest share of compliance program manager openings in Mississippi. Jackson anchors the market as the state capital and home to its largest hospital systems, financial institutions, and state agency headquarters, while Ridgeland and Flowood attract compliance hiring through the dense concentration of regional corporate offices and healthcare organization campuses located along the Interstate 55 corridor.
Are there remote compliance program manager jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields, since compliance program management centers on policy oversight, documentation, and reporting rather than on-site operations. About 38% of compliance program manager openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a broader shift across the regulatory and compliance sector. The tasks most frequently performed remotely include policy development, training delivery, and regulatory reporting, while on-site presence is more often required for audit walkthroughs and leadership meetings.
How can I get hired as a compliance program manager in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a compliance coordinator or compliance analyst role at one of Mississippi's large healthcare systems, such as Merit Health or University of Mississippi Medical Center, both of which hire at the associate level and develop internal candidates. Adjacent roles in internal audit, medical billing, or risk management at Mississippi regional banks or insurance carriers also provide a recognized bridge into compliance. Pursuing the Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) certification while in an entry role signals commitment and gives candidates a concrete edge over others competing for the same program manager openings.
Where can I find and apply to compliance program manager jobs in Mississippi?
You can find and apply to compliance program manager jobs in Mississippi on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
