Stable, growing, and dependable Construction Company that specializes in steel fabrication and installation of retrofit steel structures is seeking a Superintendent. The continued growth of the company has created an opportunity for someone who can step in and immediately run commercial projects. Essential Duties
- Effectively manage and schedule subcontractors and crews to complete all projects on-time and within budget
- Complete understanding of blueprints and proper sequences that are needed to complete jobs efficiently.
- Survey and field measure accurately per drawings, communicate effectively with Draftsman and shop with clear field measurements for fabrication
- Manage all projects to meet budgets in a timely manner and set the high-quality standards required by our company
- Maintain excellent relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and employees
- Ensure that strict safety standards are always followed
- Review project drawings for design and engineering deficiencies and make sure they are in line with all codes and specifications
- Diligently have change orders processed in a timely manner
- Make sure subs have the proper agreements, W9 and certificates
- Attend and arrange meetings with customers, employees, and management
Essential Qualifications
- Ten (10) plus years of experience in commercial construction, preferably structural and miscellaneous steel.
- Verifiable expertise with Construction related software
- Microsoft Office experience is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience effectively managing both subcontractors and employees
- Knowledge of budgets, P&L statements, change orders and job estimating
- Maintain company vehicle and tools
- OSHA 30
- Manlift, boom lift and forklift certified
- Highschool Diploma, GED and/or Trade School is Required
