At Horizon West Builders we are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of coordinating multiple teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Construction Superintendent will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across all phases of construction.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, MS Project and Bluebeam for project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide onsite activities.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specified standards and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project progress using project scheduling tools; adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety standards across the site.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Oversee the installation of pipelines and other infrastructure components as required.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, safety incidents, and project milestones.
- Lead problem-solving efforts related to technical issues such as schematics or electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters when applicable.
