Job Description
- Produce, write, and edit content in both languages across broadcast, digital, and social platforms
- Line-produce newscasts or content streams, building rundowns and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish
- Collaborate with assignment desk, reporters, anchors, managers, and digital teams to plan and deliver daily coverage
- Write clear, accurate, and engaging scripts, headlines, and copy that connect with multilingual audiences
- Translate and adapt content to maintain accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance
- Contribute story ideas and participate in editorial meetings, helping shape coverage decisions
- Monitor breaking news and adjust rundowns and scripts in real time, maintaining composure in high-pressure situations
- Edit video and incorporate graphics to enhance storytelling across platforms
- Maintain strong awareness of local and national news, with a deep understanding of the Philadelphia market
- Ensure all content meets journalistic standards for accuracy, fairness, and credibility
Qualifications
- Must be bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to write, edit, and produce content under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and editorial standards
- Willingness to join AFTRA as this position may be covered by the AFTRA collective bargaining agreement
- Experience line-producing newscasts
- Experience editing content on a desktop editing system
- Ability to make priority decisions under a deadline
- Strong ability to deliver news as it is developing on all platforms
- Team player mentality
- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
