Content Producer Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a content producer in Washington?
Content producer roles in Washington require no state-issued license, so the path centers on education and portfolio development. Most Washington employers expect a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, film, or a related field, though strong candidates often break in through adjacent roles such as production assistant or social media coordinator. Building a portfolio of distributed work and gaining familiarity with tools used by Washington's technology and media industries meaningfully strengthens your application.
How much do content producers make in Washington?
Content producers in Washington earn a median of about $81,550 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $47,810 for the lowest 10% to over $167,760 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire content producers in Washington?
Employers hiring content producers in Washington right now include NAC Architecture, KHQ-TV, and Toyota, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's concentration of major technology headquarters and established media companies means openings appear consistently across both large enterprise content teams and independent studio environments.
Which Washington cities have the most content producer jobs?
Seattle, Spokane, and Elma have the most content producer openings in Washington. Seattle anchors the market as the home of major technology and media employers, while Bellevue and Redmond generate steady demand from large campus-based technology and gaming companies headquartered in the Eastside corridor.
Are there remote content producer jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields, since content production work is largely desk-based and output is digital by nature. About 11% of content producer openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well the role adapts to distributed teams. Roles focused on written content, social media, and digital editorial are the most consistently offered as remote positions.
How can I get hired as a content producer in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for production assistant or content coordinator roles at Washington's technology and media companies, where structured team environments offer hands-on learning. Employers like Amazon and Microsoft hire entry-level content roles regularly, and gaming studios on the Eastside occasionally bring on junior producers through associate programs. A focused portfolio demonstrating writing samples, edited video clips, or managed social accounts carries more weight than credentials alone at this level.
Where can I find and apply to content producer jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to content producer jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that fit your background and target location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
