CPT Customer Operations Manager Jobs
Customer Operations Manager roles on CPT sit at the intersection of business process management and cross-functional leadership, both areas that DSOs routinely approve when the work ties directly to business administration, operations, or management coursework. Your authorization covers a defined employer and period, so lining up your offer before your DSO submits the CPT request is essential.

Get Access To All JobsCustomer Operations Manager CPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Customer Operations Manager role qualify for CPT authorization?
Yes, if your degree program includes coursework in business administration, operations management, or organizational leadership, a Customer Operations Manager role typically qualifies. Your DSO will evaluate whether the work is an integral part of your curriculum, not just loosely related. Bring your course catalog and a job description to the DSO meeting to make the case directly.
Can I do full-time CPT as a Customer Operations Manager without losing OPT eligibility?
Full-time CPT, defined as 20 or more hours per week, does not eliminate OPT eligibility on its own, but 12 or more months of full-time CPT across your entire program does. Part-time CPT, regardless of duration, never affects OPT eligibility. Track your cumulative full-time CPT hours carefully, especially if you've had prior CPT authorizations in earlier semesters.
How do I find Customer Operations Manager employers who are open to CPT students?
Migrate Mate lists Customer Operations Manager roles filtered by employers with work authorization experience, so you're not spending time on companies that have never sponsored or hired international students. Focus on mid-size operations-heavy companies in logistics, SaaS, and financial services, where customer operations functions tend to be structured enough to justify a defined CPT scope.
What should the CPT job offer letter include for a Customer Operations Manager position?
Your DSO needs the offer letter to specify your start and end dates, weekly hours, job title, and a description of duties tied to your academic program. For a Customer Operations Manager role, the duties section should reference process oversight, cross-functional coordination, or service delivery metrics, as those map cleanly to business administration curriculum requirements.
Can my CPT employer later sponsor me for H-1B as a Customer Operations Manager?
Yes. Customer Operations Manager is a specialty occupation under USCIS standards when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. CPT itself has no bearing on H-1B visa eligibility. If your employer intends to sponsor, confirm early that the job description supports a specialty occupation argument and that they're willing to file an LCA with DOL when the time comes.
