ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is for a 2027 Summer Internship which will last approximately 12 weeks.
- Agronomy and/or Operations focused internship to learn the ins and out of a Nutrien Ag Solutions retail location
- Have direct responsibility relating to tissue sampling, soil sampling, sales and/or other related tasks at the location
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year Higher Education degree program in Agriculture or a related program with an interest in Agriculture
- Must have a graduation date of August 2027 or later
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The salary range for this role, in Sak Centre, MN location, is between $16.00 - $20.00. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
We provide an attractive benefits package that includes catastrophic coverages including life, accidental death and dismemberment, and business travel accident insurance for a position of at least three months in duration and more than 30 hours per week. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid sick days and holidays as well as an Employee and Family Assistance Program. A Student or Intern role does not participate in any retirement savings or incentive programs. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations, as necessary. Details of the benefits package will be shared in the application process.

Roles involving project coordination, crew supervision, and site operations commonly satisfy this requirement for students in construction management, civil engineering, business, or environmental science programs. Your DSO will assess the fit against your specific curriculum before updating your I-20.
Can I do full-time CPT as a Field Manager without affecting OPT eligibility?
You can, but 12 months or more of full-time CPT eliminates your OPT eligibility entirely. Part-time CPT, under 20 hours per week, has no impact on OPT, regardless of how many semesters you use it. If you're weighing a full-time Field Manager placement against preserving OPT for post-graduation, confirm the exact CPT duration with your DSO before accepting the offer.
What should a CPT offer letter for a Field Manager position include?
The offer letter must state your job title, employment start and end dates, your work location, and whether the position is full-time or part-time. Field Manager roles often involve multiple project sites, so if your duties require traveling between locations, the letter should list either a primary reporting address or the employing company's headquarters. Your DSO needs all of this before they can issue CPT authorization on your I-20.
