Entry Level Creative Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level creative job?
Build a portfolio that shows real work, even if it comes from class projects, freelance gigs, or personal briefs. Entry level creative employers look for visual range, a consistent point of view, and proof that you can execute an idea from concept to finish. Internship experience helps, but a focused portfolio that demonstrates your process will often carry more weight at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level creatives?
Companies hiring entry level creatives right now include Robert Half, TikTok, and Creatunity, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of organizations, including agencies, in-house brand teams, media companies, and startups that need junior creative support without requiring years of prior experience.
Are there remote entry level creative jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are also common at this stage. About 41% of entry level creative openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who prefer flexible arrangements have genuine options. Remote roles at the junior level often come with more structured feedback and onboarding to support new creatives working outside a physical studio.
Are these new grad creative jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior creative roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or a portfolio in place of full-time history, or lists a degree as preferred rather than required. If a role asks for a portfolio and does not demand a long resume, it is almost always open to new grads.
Which industries hire the most entry level creatives?
Entry level creative roles concentrate in Education, Staffing & Recruiting, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive junior hiring because they depend on a steady pipeline of designers, writers, and content producers to support campaigns, product launches, and digital content at scale.
