Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a fast-paced Emergency Department requiring Siemens FORCE scanner experience and prior work at a 500+ bed hospital.
Details
- Emergency department setting at a Level II Trauma Center
- Performs routine ED scans, Code Stroke, and some trauma cases
- Adult and geriatric patient population, with some infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Daily caseload of 150-200 scans across 4 rooms, with each tech handling approximately 8-12 patients per 8-hour shift
- Equipment includes Siemens S3000 and Sequoia scanners, as well as GE scanners
- Uses Epic and Visage systems for charting and imaging
- Weekend schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and Monday shifts (2x12-hour nights, 1x12-hour evening)
- No call requirement
- No floating requirement
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Experience at a 500+ bed hospital required
- Level II Trauma Center experience required
- BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications required
- Proficiency with Siemens FORCE scanner required
- Experience with GE scanners also required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal CT procedures
- Experience with brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform CT scans for routine ED patients, Code Stroke cases, and some trauma patients in a very fast-paced environment
- First shift typically staffed with 4-5 techs, second shift with 2-3 techs, third shift with 1 tech, and weekends with 2 techs
- Scrubs not provided; royal blue scrub color required
- First-time travelers will be considered as long as they meet the 2-year experience requirement
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within 50 miles of the facility
- Former Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before reapplying and must disclose prior employment details
- Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved if not falling on a holiday; no RTO allowed during the first week
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- No weekend RTO permitted
- Travel pairs are allowed if on different units and disclosed at submission
