Entry Level Customer Operations Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level customer operations manager job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate process thinking, clear communication, and comfort working across teams. Internship experience in operations, customer service, or logistics gives you a concrete edge. Highlighting any coursework in project management, tools like Excel or CRM platforms, and examples of coordinating tasks or solving customer-facing problems helps your application stand out at the entry level stage.
Which companies hire entry level customer operations managers?
Companies hiring entry level customer operations managers right now include Ryder System, Amazon, and Paylocity, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from growth-stage companies, large enterprises building out operations teams, and service-oriented businesses that rely on strong day-to-day customer coordination.
Are there remote entry level customer operations manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 15% of entry level customer operations manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates are not limited to local searches. Many companies offer hybrid arrangements for operations roles, particularly in technology, e-commerce, and professional services where team coordination can happen across digital tools.
Are these new grad customer operations manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior customer operations manager roles. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or academic projects in place of full-time history, and does not require prior management experience. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'junior,' or 'recent graduates encouraged to apply' in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level customer operations managers?
Entry Level customer operations manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive entry level hiring because they depend on high volumes of customer interactions, fulfillment coordination, or service delivery that benefits from dedicated operations support even at the junior level.
